My chapters always run wild and end up a million times longer than when I first anticipate haha
I hope you enjoy it, it wasn't originally going to be this long.

Lissa POV

There were so many faces staring down at me and it was making me nervous.

I had been poked, prodded and hugged endless times and still no one was answering my question. Where was Luca and where was Mel?

I know that they would both protect me from all this overcrowding, but neither of them was to be seen anywhere.

I was sitting down on mums lap, locked in a death grip. Don't get me wrong, I loved the attention and seeing all the faces I had been wishing for, but after being so isolated, all of this touchy feely business was overwhelming. I was pretty claustrophobic.

"Mum, I wanna see Dad." I whined, wriggling in her lap. She looked down at me with her green eyes, so wide and shiny and blinked, slowly, once. Her grip loosened then tightened again, as if she couldn't bear to let me go. As if I would hop down off her lap and disappear forever again.

"Mum." I dropped the whine and stared blankly at her. "Let me go."

"Okay, darling." She said, but didn't loosen her grip.

My breath hitched.

I felt like I was being caged in again.
No room, no room, restriction, stuck, get out get away!! My mind was whirling and my breath hitched as I began to panic. Escape!

"Let me go!!" I shrieked, thrashing wildly, scratching her arms, trying to let them release me.

I heard a gasp and then her arms recoiled from me, allowing me to flee.

"Lissa!!" I heard a dozen voices cry out for me, but I didn't stop to glance back. I had to get away.

I had no idea where I was going until the forest overwhelmed me and I stopped to catch my breath. I suddenly felt safe, surrounded by tress I had grown up in. I could smell the faint scents of other wolves and the rustle of the breeze in the treetops.

This is where I wanted to be.

I started walking deeper, not even concentrating where I was going.

I had been walking for about ten minutes when suddenly there was a woosh and I was swept off my feet.

I was dangling about a foot in the air, with a pair of legs wrapped around under my armpits.

"Where do you think you're going, missy?" A familiar voice asked above me, causing me to look upwards.

Mel.

I smiled, suddenly feeling a lot better.

She was dangling from a tree branch and had managed to scoop me up from the ground with her legs. I giggled.

"Mel." I breathed out. "I'm so glad you found me." She gave a distant smile and released me gently, dropping down onto the ground next to me.

"What's up Liss?" She asked, looking sad.

I didn't answer her question, choosing to jump into her arms instead. "You're always welcome here, don't think for a second that you aren't. Please stay." I said, my voice muffled from her neck.

She stiffened, then relaxed. Whooshed a breath out. Drew a shaky one in.

"Trust you to see through my walls, Liss." She whispered, hugging me tighter.

She gently put me down and took my hand, leading me back the way we came. A planted my feet and dug my heels in, refusing to go back. I didn't want to.
