Luz POV
5:30am already? It felt as though I had just fallen asleep 10 minutes ago. I struggled to dismiss the alarm on my phone, my hands venturing around my bed in an attempt to find it. Eventually after what felt like the longest minute of my life, I managed to find my phone and dismiss it. I considered sleeping in for another 10 minutes or so, but these used-to-be nerd arms won't help themselves get stronger by skipping any morning routines.

I lifted myself off my bed before preparing to put some clothes on for a morning walk. Nothing too fancy I imagined, just some black shorts and a comfy black Nike shirt. This should be a fine walk before I head off to school for the last day.  The summer holidays were near but I don't think I have any plans, do I? I stood up and observed myself, glaring at my tall mirror.

"Hey not bad Noceda." I mumbled to myself before shooting a wink at my reflection. I grabbed some dark grey sneakers and put them on before silently tip-toeing downstairs. I didn't want to wake mi mami up at this time, because the last time that happened, I ended up running around the house for dear life while she chased me with the chancla. Not so great of a memory.

More and more time passed as I walked around the streets, head empty most mornings but occasionally one person would pop up into my thoughts during these early times. In fact she's the only person I'm ever thinking of if I'm even thinking of a person at all.

There are never really any specific thoughts about her that come through my head, just her. I feel jitters and sparks of electricity flow through my body when I think of this particular person, but I don't know why. Amity. I miss her.

Memories of her dyed green hair and golden eyes suddenly flowed freely throughout my mind. The visions were unclear but they didn't need to be since it was more of a feeling than something you could imagine. I looked down at my Apple Watch to be met with the time 7:07am. Have I been outside, thinking for over an hour?

I slowly made my way back to my house, looking forward to a nice, warm shower. My clothes weren't as sweaty as they usually were after my morning runs but I guess that would make sense considering I got carried away thinking. I took my favourite purple and white hoodie with some black ripped jeans into the bathroom with me.

More thoughts flew endlessly throughout my mind whilst the welcoming warmth of my shower trickled down my back. It felt comforting. While I scrubbed in the last portion of conditioner, a thought came into my mind about Violet. She's one of my only friends here in the human realm, we got closer after I returned from the Boiling Isles and I remember making plans with her to hang out after school today. We planned on going to the arcade after reading some Azura chapters together. I looked forward to it, something about her felt warm and familiar but I couldn't quite pin down on the feeling.

"Mija! Your breakfast is ready cariño."
I heard my Mum shout from downstairs. I quickly packed my things and tied my shoes on since I knew my bus would arrive in about eight minutes. Mi mami gave me a strange look as I scoffed down my food, eager to quickly brush my teeth before running to the bus. I was usually on time but today just felt like everything was moving so quickly, too quickly.

After brushing my teeth I grabbed my bag and ran over to my bus which I could see from the end of the block, approaching my stop. My mom blew me a quick kiss which I returned, a sweet blush forming on her cheeks as she clasped her hands together. As I stepped up onto my bus, my eyes scanned the seats until I found who I was looking for. Violet was sitting at the back of the bus, her hands brushing through her blonde hair which had a noticeable pink stripe down the middle.

She was caught off guard as I made my way down the back of the bus, until I made eye contact with the girl.
"Oh! Luz, hey." She said, almost as if she was surprised to see me. I responded with a nod,
"Morning Vi. Ready for the last day of school before the summer holidays?" A smile grew on her face, "More like I'm ready to bring the fun to the arcade after school." She chuckled, giving me a nudge with her elbow.
