*JADEN'S POV*
As Luke and I walked to my house I kind of got lost in my thoughts.
I couldn't believe all of the shit with Calum today. It really shouldn't surprise me though. He never sticks to his "I'm never going to hit you again" promise long. I just wish he was out of my life.I was really glad Luke was there though. Otherwise who knows how far Calum would have gone. I'd probably be in the hospital again. Fuck, I am so thankful for Luke. I'm glad he saw through the bitch I was being earlier.
We got to my house and I walked inside. My mum was home. Great. I tried to sneak past her to my room with Luke.
"Jaden who is this?" She asked.
"Mum, this is Luke. He's new at school."
"It's nice to meet you Luke."
I could tell she was being fake. As soon as Luke leaves she's gonna criticize everything about him. She does it with everyone I bring home.
"Jaden what happened to your eye? Please tell me it wasn't him!" She glared at Luke.
"It was Calum."
"I thought you broke up with him."
"I did. But he got mad because I was talking to Luke."
"Please tell me he got in trouble or something this time. It's so sad how he abuses you knowing you can't defend yourself against him."
"Well you don't have to worry about him anymore. I gave him a taste of his own medicine." Luke said.
Then my mum did something. She smiled. It was a real smile, not a fake forced one like usual.
"Luke you're allowed here anytime you please." She said cheerfully and I couldn't believe my ears. She was never this nice to anyone.
"He also got suspended for a week so he won't be able to play in the big game Friday." I said.
"He's going to hate that." She laughed.
An awkward moment of silence filled the room.
"Well we're going to be in my room." I said and took Luke's hand leading him upstairs to my room and shut my door.
"Well your mum seems nice." He said.
"If only you knew."
"What do you mean?" He asked confused.
"She's just a judgemental bitch. Nothing ever makes her happy. She plays nice with company and as soon as they leave she judges every little detail about them. When you leave she'll probably tell me she doesn't want me hanging out with you anymore. It happens everytime."
"Wow is that one of your reasons?"
"What are you talking about?" I asked confused.
"One of the reasons for your cuts?"
No one has ever asked me why I cut. They always just bitch at me and tell me it'll kill me one day.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." He said.
"No one has ever asked me before. But yeah she's part of the reason. I cut because of my bitch of a mother, asshole of an exboyfriend, sorry excuse of a father. I also have an eating disorder and depression."
"Oh wow." Luke had a shocked look on his face.
"It's fine if you want to leave. Everyone else does." I sighed.
"I'm not leaving. I have problems too. Out of the 4 schools I've been to in the past year I've only made 1 friend. But Michael wasn't doing well when I got kicked out of Grant High. I've had a bad past with drug and alcohol abuse. Somehow cutting seems to be the one drug I can't give up."
I could feel tears start to fall from my eyes. I didn't want to cry in front of Luke but I just couldn't hold them in any longer.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry." Luke apologized pulling me into his arms.
"It's not you. I've kept that bottled up for so long... It feels great to finally get it out."
I cried into his chest as he held me tighter. My eyes had finally run out of tears. I pulled away from his chest and stared into his eyes. I had never noticed how gorgeous they were before. They were so deep. They were like two crystal blue pools that just pierced through your soul.
He had begun to smile. It was cute the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled and he had a small dimple in his right cheek. I guess he had grown nervous, he begun to play with his lip ring."JADEN!" He screamed.
"Huh? What?" I snapped out of my thoughts.
"You've just been smiling at me for like 5 minutes."
"Oh um sorry. I kind of got lost in your eyes." I could feel my cheeks heat up.
He smiled as he stared into my eyes. We slowly started to lean closer towards the other until our foreheads met. We still inched closer and closer. Our lips met and our eyes closed. Our lips moved in sync as we kissed. I loved the way his cold lip ring felt against my lips.
We heard the door knob turn and quickly pulled away from each other. It was mum.
"Luke are you going to be staying for dinner?" She asked. I kind of hoped he'd say yes.
"I wish I could but I should probably head home. I didn't exactly tell my mum I was going anywhere after school." Luke said standing up and grabbing his backpack.
"Okay Luke. Be safe." She said and went back downstairs.
"So I guess I'll talk to you at school tomorrow?" I asked.
"Well if you give me your number you can talk to me tonight." He said very smoothly while smirking and handing me his phone.
I quickly put my number in his phone and handed it back to him. He hugged me before he left. It was a very tight and comforting hug. There was no space between us and I just- His hug made me feel so safe as his strong arms wrapped around me.
