Tony's POV

I was having a great day. Honestly.

That is, until Eyepatch showed up.

I should probably back up. Me and the Avengers were in the lounge, just chilling, either watching the news or reading. We weren't even blowing anything up. Then the news flickered to somthing that caught our interest.

"From this startling footage, we see our once-friendly-neighbourhood Spiderman robbing a bank on 24th Street. Reports say that the vigilante has gone rogue, but until we know for sure, keep a lookout and alert authorities if you happen to encounter him."

The screen changed to show to cops being interviewed.

"What are you doing to catch Spiderman?" One of the news reporters asked.

"Well, from what we know, if he's chosen to abandon his friendly neighbourhood superhero post, he could be very dangerous. Alot of us have encountered him, noting the skill and power he holds. However, justice will be served. If he is guilty, he will be punished. I believe the Avengers and such should deal with things like this."

The screen went black, and then a reporter started talking about the news, blah blah blah.

Nat reached for the remote and turned of the TV. We all sat in silence for a while.

"Do you reckon we should do somthing about it then?" Birdbrain asked.

"That's exactly why I'm here." A voice behind us made us turn. Nat jumped into a fighting position and Birdbrain had an arrow ready in his bow.

A black figured emerged from the dark, and when he did...

I rolled my eyes.

There stood Nick Fury. He had a grumpy expression and his arms crossed over his chest.

"Find Spiderman and catch him." He ordered us.

"Okay, one, how the hell did you get up here without Friday telling me, and two, why do we have to do it? Don't you have like, an entire organisation of scary spies like Nat." I told him.

Well, I got glares from two people, but I don't think I need to mention from who. The rest of them just sighed.

Captain Frisbee spoke up. "Well, he's a danger to the people. I say we take him down. He'll probably know better than to show himself in public for a while, so we'll have to wait."

Nat nodded, agreeing with the plan, and since none of us felt like having a scary Russian lady attack us, we did the same.

"Hey Fri. Check out all the security camera's around New York. If you spot him, let us know." I instructed.

"Yes boss." She replied.

Well, isn't this going to be fun.

Peter's P.O.V

Me and May were flicking through the TV. It was Saturday, and other than patrol and homework, I didn't have much to do.

That's when a picture of Spiderman came up with a wanted sign on him. What? I thought. Why on earth would they think I'm a criminal?

May was horrified. "If you ever see him Pete, make sure you call the police. I can't believe this. He was so good..."

"Don't worry, he still is..." I muttered quiet enough so she couldn't hear me.

I got up and went to my room, homework being my excuse.

I turned on my phone and called Ned, closing my bedroom door behind me.

"Dude, did you see the news?" I asked.

"Yeah! I was just about to call you. What's going on, man? What happened to being a superhero?" I heard him say.

"That wasn't me! I am a superhero. But I need to figure out who robbed the bank looking like me!"

"Ok, ok. You can't go out in public, though. As in, as Spiderman." He probably knew I'd start to protest, because before I could speak, he contineud. "Dude! They said that the avengers would deal with you! Do you really want to be attacked by them! Just stay low for now. I need to go now, but we'll talk later."

I sighed. "Bye."

Hanging up, I stared out of the window. Who was going to protect the neighbourhood if I didn't?

.

.

.

A whole weekend had passed without me being Spiderman. Crime rates were already 10% higher, since criminals figured I must be one of them now. Oh, how wrong they were.

I tried recalling anyone with a huge grudge against Spiderman. Other than muggers and low lives, I couldn't think of anyone. MJ came and sat next to me. A few weeks ago, she'd figured out my alter ego, though how you keep something from her, I don't know.

I had to have the same 'I'm-not-a-criminal', that I had with Ned, with her. I think she already figured I was being framed, because she passed the entire conversation with nothing but a few side comments.

That day, I was walking home, to preoccupied in my thoughts to notice the lamp post front of me.

Ow.

Who puts a lamp post there anyway?

That's when I noticed huge flames licking the side of a building. They were bright red and orange, and just looking at them made my eyes hurt. The scent of smoke lingered in the air.

What am I supposed to do?

What if there a person in there?

I hesitated. If I was spotted, supernatural, trained adults would come after me. Not to mention the cops...

But if I didn't do something, someone could get hurt.

I made my mind up, quickly racing down an alleyway to put on my suit, which I kept in my bag, despite MJ telling me not to. Hopefully, if she was in a good mood, she wouldn't kill me.

Tony's P.O.V

"Boss, Spiderman has been spotted on 16th Avenue."

I sighed.

"Tell the others to suit up, Fri."

Hey guys!

I was wondering where my readers were from and stuff. I'm from the UK. ✌

I've never been to New York, so I don't know how the streets and stuff are like. If I got anything wrong, that's probably why.

Anyways, enjoy the rest of the story!
