Tony's POV
Here we were. Wakanda. The Gaurdians. The Avengers. And so many more it would take hours to list them all. They were back. We'd bought all of them back. And now, we only had one thing left to do.
Destroy Thanos once and for all.
Strange's portals stayed open as everyone stood up and ready. Peter... Was he here? Where? I saw Pepper, near the front, wearing one of the Iron Suits.
That jarred me back to reality, making me stand up and ready myself. This was it. This was the final battle. Then no more surprises. I promised, and I intended to keep it.
Thanos seemed slightly overwhelmed, but I had no doubt he was already almost over the initial shock of how many of us there were. I hated that purple grape.
Mjolnir flew into Capsicle's hand. He looked pretty beaten down, but the fierce look in his eyes told me he was determined to squish the grape.
"Assemble," he spoke. Oh, the nostalgia.
We charged. All of us, flying into battle, all with the same goal.
Kill Thanos.
The army of Wakanda screamed battle cries as they charged towards the enemy. Scott was huge again, bringing back not-so-fond memories from the civil war. His oversized feet shook the ground.
I saw Pepper on the battlefield, and I rushed forward, so that we were both back to back, flying in the air, as we blasted monsters and other things I can't be asked learning the names for.
I must've killed a dozen or so. Cap and Thor worked together, Cap using Storm breaker for a little bit, before switching it for Mjolnir.
Just then, a huge whatever-its-called knocked me over and advanced to punch me, before a certain Spider Boys webs stopped him.
Peter.
I couldn't even move. He was back.
"Mr Stark! Remember when I was all dusty? Well, I must have passed out, because when I woke up you were gone and-" I stopped him with... a hug. Yeah, yeah. I missed my kid. Leave me alone.
He seemed quite shocked, hesitating before hugging me back. "This is nice." He said, clearly still in shock.
"I missed you, kid." I whispered, quietly, so he couldn't hear me.
A few miniutes later, I stood, watching the battlefield, whilst trying to keep a couple of monsters from biting my head of.
"How long do you need to get that thing working?" I ask Scott through my suit.
"Errr... a couple of miniutes," he responds.
Later, I see Peter dodging a buch of monsters, keeping Thanos's gauntlet safe. He didn't look to good, dried blood and dirt streaking his face. Then again, no one here looked fine.
Suddenly, the weapons on Thanos's ship started shooting at something, no, someone, in the sky.
Carol Danvers emerged.
I didn't get to pay attention much to what happened next. Only that Peter had given Carol the gauntlet, the women were being total badasses and Wanda was kicking Thanos's purple ass.
Carol attacked Thanos, but it wasn't enough. He had the gauntlet now.
Energy surged around him, and suddenly, I knew it was too late. That was, of course, until Peter, being Peter, came up to Thanos and tried taking of the gauntlet. What was that kid thinking?
It managed to buy us a few seconds, though. He was thrown to the side, after annoying Thanos by crawling on him and kicking at whatever he could. I flew in and blasted Thanos, before landing a punch to his face.
He caught it, swinging me like a rag doll, before throwing me across to some old ruins one the floor.
He raised his hand, about to snap. No. No, no, no, no.
We were not going to lose. Not after all the trouble of discovering time travel, retreaving the soul stones and risking everything. "I am inevitable."
He snapped.
But nothing happened.
My eyes trailed over to his gauntlet, and I saw nothing. No shining of the soul stones.
"And I oop."
Peter.
I looked over, and saw him with... the soul stones.
My stupid suit I'd designed for him... Thanos eyes widened in fear, and I realises what was about to happen.
"Kid, no!" I yelled.
Kid, yes, was what he must've heard. My stupid, brave, annoyingly good hearted kid snapped his fingers.
And everything Thanos built crumbled.
But at that moment, it couldn't have mattered less. Because now my kid sat there, after saving the world, his own life draining before my eyes.
"Peter, Peter!" I shouted as I ran over to him.
When I saw him up close, my chest tightened. Half his face was covered in blood, and I could practically feel him dying.
"I- I just wanted to be like you." He croaked, his eyes fixed on me.
Tears swam in my eyes, and I could feel the others surrounding us, there gaze fixed on the fallen hero.
"No. You were better than me. And- and I'm going to make sure everyone knows." The words felt heavy in my mouth, and I could barely get them out my throat.
Everything, everything I had done was for nothing.
Yes, maybe the others were back, but the reason I took the risk, that was for Peter. And I couldn't save him anyway.
A small smile creeped on his lips.
And then he was gone.

Hey guys!
If it makes you feel any better, I'm crying too.
I'm really sorry. But hey, .... Honestly, I can't think of something positive right now.
I'm just going to go to my corner and wail in agony now.
Don't forget to vote!
Anyways, enjoy the rest of the story!
