"DUDE, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE?"
Ushijima turned his head to see his friend, Reon, looking over at him with concern. Behind Ushijima, Tendou was laughing his happy little ass off.
"I took a spike to the face last night." Ushijima said in his usual stoic tone.
"Ouch." said Semi quietly from across the table.
Tendou sat down with his food next to Ushijima as we waved a finger.
"You forgot to mention that it was Miss Miko Komi, Wakatoshi. The best and most powerful young female ace in Japan." Tendou said excitedly.
"Woah, you met Miko Komi?" Reon asked in disbelief.
"Hold on, isn't she really buff? Like pretty big muscles? Dude, is your nose broken?" Semi sent out question after question.
"My nose is fine." Ushijima said.
"She's here in Miyagi?" Reon asked.
"Pretty sure she plays at Naitoraidā." Semi said. Tendou nodded in confirmation.
"That must have really hurt. Nosebleed?" Semi asked.
Ushijima nodded.
"I'm just glad that I didn't spike a volleyball into her face. She would have gotten hurt."
Reon and Semi sat there with their mouths hung open while Tendou was squealing like a little girl. It was not very often that Ushijima was this expressive, so they were all in a bit of shock.
"We'll look at that, looks like Wakatoshi is making a new friend!"
"Captain, you look upset, are you okay?" asked Miwa as she set up the net in their temporary practice space. Miko looked at the first year and nodded.
"I'm alright, Miwa. Thanks for asking." Miko said.
In the other corner of the gym, Erina leaned down to somewhat whisper to Kori.
"Oi, what's wrong with the captain?" Erina asked.
Kori chuckled and looked up at the taller girl.
"Oh, she spiked into Ushiwaka's face last night at that new volleyball gym. He got a nosebleed and Miko was freaking out." Kori said whilst holding back her laughter.
Erina moved her hand in front of her mouth to hide her apparent laughter.
"Seriously? That's... that's just-"
"Hey, what are you guys laughing about?" asked Nira as she approached.
"Captain landed on a spike right on Ushiwaka's face yesterday. He got a nosebleed and everything." Erina said.
