Matthias's POV
Finn starts shaking my shoulder in an effort to wake me up. I open my eyes, yawn, and sit up, noticing I'm surrounded by my new friends. My head hurts.
I groan. "What happened?"
"Vodka happened. Time to get up." Finn replies, helping me to my feet. I lean on a wall, still sleepy. I look around the room and notice someone new sitting on a mattress. Tall, pale, blue hair... I feel like I know her. She looks up at me with piercing gray eyes. Then it clicks.
Without really thinking, I charge at her. She doesn't have time to react before I pin her against a wall and my fist connects with her face. Her head hits the wall hard after the impact. Before I can hit her again, Finn and Tony yank me away while Ellie and Gail rush to the girl's aid. Desmond stands between all of us.
"The hell do you think you're doing?" He yells at me. I ignore him and face the blue haired girl.
"Where is she?" I bark, not making any effort to calm down. She has Audrey hostage somewhere and it's up to me to save her.
"What are you talking about?" She asks, keeping her cool. That's it.
I manage to break free and I chare a second time. This time she's ready. Before I know it, she's on top of me, throwing punches. She gets in three before the twins pull her off me. I'm held back again.
"Audrey... Where did you take Audrey?" I say, taking deep breaths.
She looks like a deer in headlights.
"I saw you in that van." I continue.
"You think I want to work for those people? You think I chose to hunt down and imprison people just like me?" She snaps.
It's my turn to be at a loss for words.
"My father is one of the head hunters. It's his choice, not mine. I'm doing everything I can to get everyone out of there." She say, storming out of the place.
I have no idea what to say.
She stops at the doorway.
"Oh, and in case you're wondering, Audrey is fine. I'm trying my best." She says, slamming the door behind her.
I run my hands through my hair.
"Do you know the shit she's going through the protect your Audrey?" Gail ask, walking towards me.
Everyone is listing off things I misunderstood and it's getting irritating.
Desmond raises his voice.
"Hey! He made a mistake. Calm down guys." She snaps.
I sigh and take a seat in silence. Everyone else does the same. It's going to be a long day.
