***Angel's POV***
Today was finally my moving day and honestly, it was bitter sweet. I was so excited to be with Marshall, and finally be back in the same city as Zoe, but fuck I was gonna miss New York. A part of me felt like I was abandoning Aidan, my dad, and everybody else here who I loved but logically I knew that wasn't the case. I knew I was still gonna come home a lot, because I did have essentially my entire career in New York, but it wasn't the same. Brooklyn had been my home for 24 years and honestly I know I wouldn't have left if I didn't have a reason to. But now Detroit was my home, Marshall was my home and that thought made me both so happy and so nervous.
I was happy because I was so excited to start this new chapter in my life, and because I loved Marshall so much, but I was also nervous because what if it doesn't work out? What if I'm there for five years and something happens with us? Do I go back home? Do I stay in Detroit? I guess it would all depend on the situation, but that uncertainty scared me a bit. I'm putting a lot of fuckin' trust in Marshall, and in us by doing this, and if something were to happen, I don't know what I'd do.
I was currently on my way to the airport and I was being driven by my driver. I didn't want Aidan or my dad driving me since it would be way too hard for me to say bye to them there. So my dad came over this morning and I said bye to them all at once together. I was still crying like a baby, but I found it much easier to do it at home rather than in front of all the airline staff.
I had gotten all my shit shipped off yesterday, so I only had with me a carry on bag that had my clothes and pyjamas from yesterday in it, my makeup and hair stuff that I used this morning, and my wallet. It felt good to not have to bring a big ass suitcase with me on a plane for once, but I knew I was gonna have a fuck ton of unpacking to do when I got there which I was already dreading.
Once I arrived at the airport I was driven right up to the plane. I thanked my driver and started boarding. The airline staff were amazing to me as always, and I quickly sat myself down. I closed my eyes and leaned my head back while I waited for the staff to all get themselves situated before we could take off when my phone started ringing in my bag.
My eyes popped open and I stuck my hand into the depths of my purse to start fishing around for my phone. Once I found it, I flipped it open and saw it was Marshall again. He had already called me twice this morning, but I knew he was just excited and wanted an update on where I was at. I smiled to myself and opened it.
"Hey baby." I said softly.
"Yo! Where ya at? Ya flyin' yet?" He said excitedly.
I laughed. "Not yet, but I'm on the plane."
"Aight, so an hour and a bit, yeah?"
"Yep."
"I fuckin' love you, Angel."
I smiled. "I fuckin' love you too."
"Aight baby, I'ma leave in forty five minutes to come and get ya."
"Sounds good." I said, still smiling. "I'll see ya soon."
"Fuck yeah ya will."
I laughed. "Bye!"
"Ayo!"
"What?"
"I love you."
I laughed again. "I love you too."
"Aight, that's it. Peace."
"Bye baby." I hung up the phone and stuffed it back in my bag. I leaned back with my eyes closed once more and shortly after I felt the plane start to take off.
