I felt nothing... As if nothing mattered... As if the wind and cool Winter's air was just room temperature. It wasn't. And I knew this by looking down at the shivering children below me. Just ignore them, Dwayne. Emit hissed quietly in my ear. I've been worried though. Not because of the fact that I'm now a monster... Not the fact that I can't feel anything... Only because I left Effie. Stop worrying about her! She's probably moved on already! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME THINKING ABOUT SOMEONE WHO YOU MAY NEVER SEE AGAIN! Emit then shouted blaringly though my ears, them starting to ache. I furrowed my brow together and looked straight ahead at a wall, ignoring the people crying out in pain, frustration and shaken tones. I stood up straight, holding my hands out in front of me, and resting my hands in each other. "Have you grown wear, thy Emit?" Veninos purred, stepping unbelievably close to my ear. I shudders, frowning slightly. "No. And my name's not Emit." I replied, my throat running dry. A low, velvety chuckle sounded from the man beside me. I turned towards him and asked, "Why is there only one of you... Why is there only Veninos and no one else?". He stopped chuckling, though he still was smiling. Chillingly too. "Oh my child, I've already killed the man." He snorted, gazing down psychotically at the people, who were still quivering with fear. I froze out of pure shock. "You've killed your creator?!" I exclaimed, raising my tone in a surprised-like way, though even I could hear the hint of fear radiating through. He chuckled again. "It's either that, or he's given up and has let me bury him deeper until he is truly non-existent." he finished, turned away from me and slowly stepping down the stairs, one loud thud at a time. He did this on purpose. He always did it. Only to scare his victims that I... I lured. And well, sometimes Emit did too. Veninos trotted towards the frightened people steadily, glancing up every few steps to check their emotions. Only one of them wasn't frightened, well, tried not to be. He sat there stone faced observing the floor silently. Dumb man... I thought, turning away and scrunching my eyes shut. No Dwayne, keep them open! Let me look! Emit exclaimed in a deranged tone of voice, which was somehow eager to see the death of yet another person. I turned slowly, tensing my muscles and preparing for the next happening. I heard a deep cry of pain as Veninos, in his true form, sliced through the man's stomach with a sharp, liquidy dagger that was over-sized. His arm. It ran through his body, the man still crying out in pain and toture. I could hear the oozing sounds vividly as Veninos made his way up through the man's stomach, and along his throat. When the dark black arm finally arose from the man's mouth, Veninos ripped it out, cutting the man in half. His two sides of his body flopped down on either side, the last screaming expression still etched upon his face.
