After that- urm, night... Basically Atlas drove me home and returned me to my mother. But before he did, and after that, we quickly stopped off at the local clothes store, which wasn't that far from Atlas's apartment, so he could replace his torn shirt... and pants. My mum didn't ask any questions thankfully, and just told me to have a shower and get to bed. I think she could smell Atlas's cologne on me, but if she did, she would've asked. After showering quickly, and telling Atlas to go home before Iris smacked him out my bed, I finally got some actual rest. Though, like that night, my mind was going quite wild. Can you please just stop thinking of that! It's literally all you've done since I came around! Hissed Toxin in my ear, whilst owning a complaint-like tone to her voice. I kinda felt sorry for her, but it's not my fault. I only acted human, and her loveless self was just going to have to deal with my naked thoughts. I giggled. Naked.
"You're not even doing anything to find Dwayne!" Effie cried out, tears welling her eyes. I'm surprise that they haven't fallen yet. "Listen to me, Aaly! I saw him! He saved me from that horrible misty thing!" she hissed, balling her fists and gritting her teeth. I knocked my head to the side. "You've seen him?" I replied. "Yes! That's what I've been telling you for 15 minutes!" Effie pouted, a tear rolling gently down her cheek. What a bitch you've been... Toxin scoffed, her sound ringing through my head. I frowned. "Show me where-" I started, shortly getting cut off by Mrs Nowak, who flung her newspaper down between me and Effie. "Quiet you two! And quit the tears Effie." she grunted, hobbling back to her desk at the front of the classroom. "Gladly..." Effie murmured silently and yet, sarcastically, wiping her eyes. Usually no one would've heard her, but I guess being a 'monster' has it's perks.
The bell rung, and I was first to get out, which came as a surprise to some since me and Effie sit up at the back of the room, and were usually last to come out. I hurried outside and hung by the door, leaning against the thick glass that separates the hallway and the classroom. I waited quietly for Effie, gazing off the hallway, deep in thought. She needs to skip school. I thought, running a hand through my hair. But is she going to say yes to skipping the rest of school? Toxin asked in reply to my thought. If it's about Dwayne, she should surely agree. I retorted, shrugging in reality and getting strange looks from by-passers. But it's going against our plan. Toxin mumbled. I could only imagine what her expression's like. I sighed, crossing my arms. Our plan hasn't even started yet, Toxin. We still have time to change it... and Effie may want to be included this time. Besides, what's a plan going to do for this unpredictable man? I resisted the urge to kick the floor. A randomly weird thing I could do I might say. Finally, around a minute later, Effie came through the door. "I waited for you." I said, grasping her hand. She looked to me blankly before smiling. "Thanks girl." She sighed, folding her arms tightly across her chest, pressing her books against her more. "Now, I'm sorry to ay, but you're going to have to leave behind your 'goody-miss-tu-shoes' today." I grinned, pulling her with me. "And forget about those books, because we're going back out to the bush."
I haven't seen Aaly today... But I suppose she's doing fine. I hope, anyway. I trust her. But it's recess break now, and trying to find her is going to be more difficult than usual. I've looked everywhere. Oh stop worrying you wuss... Vapour mewed sarcastically. I swear to god... I can totally imagine him rolling his eyes. "Shut it..." I muttered under my breath. Go outside... Vapour yawned. I hate when I'm the only one that can hear his nonsense sometimes. No that's under exaggerating... I always feel like that. Well, when he speaks at least. And at least he respects personal time or space. God... Thank the skies above for that. I headed outside, jogging at a sort of speedy pace. I headed out the doors and looked out on the vast oval. The wind picked up, and drew a familiar smell to me that seemed to be a few distances away. My eyes caught the dear hair of Aaly above on the hill, her long, beautiful hair flowing almost wildly in the wind. It looked like she had Effie with her. My eyes narrowed and my brow furrowed in confusion as she opened up the gate, and hurried Effie out, along with Aaly herself. I jogged again, heading in the direction of the two friends... Well, until I got caught in a mess. A girly mess. I wasn't really listening to their rambling and flirtatious jokes, I just nudged them aside and made my way up to the gate, which I slipped out of before it shut completely. The school really needs to work on security.
