It's closer... The figure made of shadows was right before my eyes, glistening almost like a dark mist in the moonlight. The clouds began to overshadow the moon, making it seem like the moonlight was being drained. Bathing in the last of the moon's light, the shadow looked at me. The last thing I saw before I fell into slumber were it's beautiful sky blue eyes...
I woke up so suddenly, panting and drenched with sweat. I never usually have nightmares, but it seemed like I did. It's a shame I didn't exactly remember it. I swallowed the large puddle of saliva in my mouth, and sighed. Stupid alarm... I thought, grunting. If only it gave me a few more minutes of sleep then maybe I would've remembered my dream. But I don't have time to worry about that. Last night... That creature. What is it, and why is it here? Why would it come to me? Or maybe last night was my dream, at least it'd make sense as I woke up drenched with sweat. But no, that creature was the one that made me sleep. I have so many questions... Like why I'm not afraid of the creature that's invaded my room. Or why I have no sense of fear. Why can't I just run away from this and find answers easily. And... Why does that creature had those sky blue eyes.
"You had lunch with Atlas?!" Effie hissed excitedly, yet somewhat quietly in my ear. It was the beginning of maths, and I really needed to focus on today's work, which was being explained dully by our short, 70-year-old teacher, Mrs Nowak. Mrs Nowak is obsessed with pixie cuts, as shown by her herself. Her and her little strands of wispy white and silver hair sway ever so slightly when she's talking, or basically just moving around. "Yes, now shut it." I snapped back under my breath, turning to face the front again. "I can help you, I already know the answer~" bribed Effie. I sighed, turning my head and leaning it on the ball of my palm. "What do you want to know about it?" I asked, rolling my eyes. "Tell me... Everything!"
I yawned, rubbing my eyes. I would say tonight was another sleep-deprived night, but it really wasn't. I had more sleep last night than the night before. I carelessly walked through the large crowd of people busy chatting away, bumping into a few. People turned to glare and shout at me too, but I wasn't bothered and just continued forward, crashing into bags and more students. I then tripped slightly, ramming into the large figure of Jonathan Kein. I glanced up, getting slightly worried. Jonathan Kein was known for having a large, muscular build, but he was known most from being a big hot-head. I blinked, stepping back a bit in surprise. "Oh, I'm sorr-" I started, quickly getting cut off by a loud, cranky yell; "Are you an IDIOT? YOU FILTHY SWINE!". I sighed, looking up at him. You're going to get hurt. I thought, stepping towards him. "Don't call me that." I replied shortly, glaring into Jonathan's beady black eyes. The whole hall was quiet, looking over in our direction. Me, and everyone else around me could see that he was fuming with anger. I grunted, turning away and heading through the crowd of people again. Loud, booming footsteps were behind me, and I knew he was following me. Well, shit. Great job, Aaly.
I swiftly moved through the ocean of students, still being slightly chased by Jonathan. Once again, I tripped and landed into the cool arms of someone familiar. I looked up to see Atlas glaring straight ahead, behind me. He was glaring at Jonathan, almost scowling. Atlas pulled me up with ease, not even a strain showed on his perfect face, and he never took his eyes off of Jonathan. His sky blue eyes. My heart quickened, revolving back to last night. I blinked my tiredness and thoughts away as I felt the vibration of Atlas's voice against his chest. "Leave her alone." Atlas grunted, holding me tightly against him. I gazed up at him, before squirming around to face Jonathan. "She ran into me!" he spat back, me wincing slightly at his tone of voice. A low rumble appeared, Atlas's body vibrating again. Though, it only lasted a second. Atlas pulled me tighter one last time and sighed, still glaring at Jonathan. "Leave her alone, Jonathan." growled Atlas. That startled me. I hung on to Atlas, my fear finally showing at once. Jonathan glared at Atlas, turning back to look at his mates, which was also where Dwayne was standing. I grit my teeth, remembering he was friends with Jonathan. Jonathan turned back, bearing his teeth at Atlas; "I'll see you at lunch.". And with that, Jonathan stormed off, back down to Dwayne and the rest of his friends.
