For the next couple of months, everything went as things normally did at Hogwarts. I would spend my days in classes then work on my homework and finally study for the O.W.L.S. which would be taken later in the year.
Every time we went into Defense Against the Dark Arts Umbridge would be seen even angrier under that annoying smile of hers. She has posted tons of stupid rules on her wall acting like she ruled the world. The only reason I didn't totally hate her is that as long as Potter and his friends were getting into trouble, she took a bit more of a liking to the Slytherin house.
Later that day she announced over the loudspeaker, "those wishing to join the inquisitorial squad for extra credit may sign up in the high inquisitor's office."
I decided it would be a good idea for me to sign up. After all, it shouldn't be that hard to just spy in the hallways, and also it's getting me extra credit which is always helpful.
I walked into the office behind a few other Slytherin's including Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy. Entering her office I made a disgusted face as I looked around at the cats meowing on the wall and every piece of pink furniture.
"Thank you all for coming, I will give you these badges to show you are a part of the group, " she said while walking up to each of us and placing a silver medallion with a deep purple ribbon onto each of our robes.
As soon as she was done I left because I didn't want to spend another second in that office.
"Where do you think you're going, Graham?" A familiar voice called from behind me.
I turned to see Draco walking over to me with a smug look on his face. His blonde hair was perfectly set just as it always was and his blue eyes brightly shined as they looked straight at me.
"What do you want Malfoy?"
"What did I tell you about being rude?" he responded.
I just rolled my eyes and turned around.
"Not so fast," he said grabbing my wrist and spinning me back around, "I'm going to patrol with you, wouldn't want you getting into any trouble."
"What makes you think I'm going to do anything?"
"Well you don't spend much time with other Slytherins so how am I supposed to trust you aren't a spy for Potter and his little friends."
"For your information, I don't spend much time with anyone because I have no friends, so leave me alone, " did I really just admit to Draco that I was a loner. It was always obvious but saying it out loud meant there was no going back from it.
Draco just looked straight into my eyes. I was trying to figure out what he was thinking but it was nearly impossible to read him.
He finally let go of my wrist and said, "I'll be the judge of that, now let's get going before we miss anything."
I rolled my eyes and followed him down the hallway. There was no point in not listening to him because I knew he wouldn't stop until everything went his way.
We walked up and down the stairs checking each floor for suspicious activity. When we reached the seventh floor I was annoyed and getting tired of this because we had seen nothing. I quickly walked down the hallway in front of Draco.
Suddenly his hand was wrapped around my wrist yet again and he pulled me against the wall so our chests were touching.
"What the hell are yo-"I said before he covered my mouth with his hand. He nodded his head to the side and I looked to see Luna skipping down the hallway.
