Chapter 21: Training Day

~Time skip 2 days later~

Aizawa POV

"Okay class listen up!! Today isn't going to be our normal day of lessons. Today, we will spend a whole day doing quirk training. As you all know, UA holds a sports festival every year. It is the whole of UA, competing against each other with quirks. It is September right now. Our sports festival will be held in December." Hado put her hand up, which made me smile because I know how shy she is. Nejire warned me about how timid her sibling could be.

"Yes Hado? Question?"
"U-Uh yeah. How does the sports carnival work?"

"Great question. As most students know, your quirks are showcased through a one-on-one battle with another student of your skill level. As most students DON'T know, Pro Heroes and scouts from hero agencies are invited to watch this carnival." Kirishima and Kaminari shot their hands up at the same time.

"Since both of you probably have the same question, you can ask at the same time." I point to both of them.

"If Pro Heroes can come, does that mean our parents can come?!" They both yell, smiles on their faces.

"Yes of course. The UA Sports Festival is actually a day off for all Pro Heroes who are not on an emergency mission. UA is also doing parts of the sports festival differently. For example, this is the first year that classes will be awarded points."

"How does that work sir? The points." Uraraka asked.

"Well since it's all one-on-one battles, whoever wins gets points. 1 point to the winners of the first round, 2 points to the winners of the second round and so on. More rounds equals less people and more points. At the end of the day, whichever class has the most points wins 1st place overall. Now, enough questions!! Who wants to win?" A huge cheer came from the class, every face holding a smile or a laugh. "Then let's get to it. Training day it is!!!"

I smile, hoping that these kids stay like this forever. It's nice to see them happy.
