Chapter 12: Gearing Up

Denki POV

"I'll be right over." I reply quickly to Aizawa, hanging up the phone. I try to hold back my crying as I scramble to get my shoes, jacket, phone and keys before sprinting out the door and into the car. I was speeding. I knew I was speeding. The other drivers on the road knew I was speeding but I didn't care. My former teacher, one who I have had ZERO contact with for the past 10 years, just called me. It's got to be serious and I'm not prepared to loose my baby girl the way I lost my last one.

~Time Skip a few hours~

I gear up the rescue team with body cams, bulletproof armour, microphone headsets and their hero suits as Aizawa briefs them, going over each aspect of Pika's rescue plan. I notice another young girl in the room as I sat down near Aizawa. She had mostly black hair with a few streaks dyed red. Her eyes were all puffy and red with dark eyebags, knees pulled up to her chest as she types away on a computer. 'I wonder why she's here. She's much too young to go on such a dangerous rescue'

Kirishima POV

I was in the control room with Aizawa, Kami's dad and the rescue team. I watched as her dad geared up the team as Aizawa went over exactly how she was to be rescued.

"Alright Division A" he points at 2 heroes. "You guys are entering through the front entrance with Division B and C coming through the left and right side entrance on the first floor. Division D you will be coming through the back entrance on the first floor with Divisions E, F and G coming through both entrances on the second, third and fourth and final floor. Main objective: find and rescue Pika Kaminari. Everyone clear?" Aizawa's voice boomed, louder than I've ever heard it. One person put their hand up.

"Sir, how will we know where to find Kaminari?" Aizawa motions for me to stand up.

"That's where my student, Miss Tsuyoi Kirishima, comes in." he signals for me to talk. I take a breath and put on a smile.

"Basically I will be talking to all of you through my headset. I'm able to hack into the security system of this place since it's pretty outdated. I'll be looking at live footage of all rooms so not only can I tell you where to find Kami, I can also be on lookout for villains and any ambush or attacks that may happen. I will also be able to hear the sound from the cameras so, if these villains are as stupid as I believe them to be, they will have left the security cameras in their main base and I can hear their plan and find out about the child villain that did the kidnapping." I explain as well as I can, trying to sound like an adult. No one ever believes kids otherwise. Aizawa clapped, doing double checks on the rescue team.
"Alright let's go. Denki Kaminari, pro hero Chargebolt, will be driving you to the location. It was about 45minutes -an hour away on the maps so we have a while for Kirishima to get into the security system and give you guys a run through before you get there. Lets go team." Aizawa and myself waved as they got into the back of Denki's black minivan and drove out of the driveway. Aizawa turned to me.

"Let's go Tsuyoi. We got a girlfriend to rescue." He saw me blushing and laughed at me as we headed inside, more than ready to carry out our plan.

"Dear god please let it work. I need my Pikaboo back in my arms." I whisper.

"I heard that. Just tell her already. It's obvious she likes you too Kiri." he smiles softly "Ya know, I had a teenage boy on my name during parenthood and the sooner he confessed, the better things worked out. Trust me." Aizawa went back to organising my laptop, so the security footage was set up on the big screen.

"Let's hope this works huh Mr Aizawa?" We both laugh nervously. 'Let's hope this really works'
