"Don't leave me," I mumble, against the bedsheets.
He looks down and smiles at me. "Okay." He says, undressing himself and climbing into my bed. He lies right next to me facing me.
I pull a strand of hair behind my ear due to nervousness; a habit I always had as a child.
"Did you have a best friend as a child?" He asks me.
I nod my head thinking back to Amelia. "We're no longer friends now. She kind of cut me off after her boyfriend tried to hit on me. I didn't make any moves on him but she didn't believe me and on top of that she still continued to go out with him." She sighs.
"She sounds awful." He replies.
"She was. She got a job as a stripper for this huge company and collects a lot of money now." I inform.
He nodded his head and shifted me to face the other side so he could wrap his arms around me. "I'm sorry for what happened." He whispers, kissing my neck.
"It's not your fault. She just doesn't like seeing her cousin doing dumb stuff." I chuckle.
"I wish I was there on time to stop it. I'm really sorry." He continues.
I turn myself around to come face to face with him. "It's not your fault, Mr Varallo. I don't blame you." I smile.
"I don't want you calling me that anymore. You can call me Vincenzo." He smirks.
Hotness started creeping onto my face and spreading all around. "Okay," I mumble.
Pulling me in slowly, he brushes his lips softly against mine causing butterflies to erupt in my stomach.
"What's going to happen to Claire?" I ask, curiously.
"I've asked for a replacement so tomorrow is her last day." He explains.
I nod my head and turn myself around so he could wrap his arms around me once again. "Goodnight." I yawn, sleepily.
~
"Miss Rossi, you've been requested by Mr Varallo's therapist. She's waiting for you outside your room. Can I ask her to come in?" The man who told on me informs.
"Sure." I say, which sounded more like a question.
A lady with brown hair and hazel eyes and a pair of glasses walks into my room with a scowl on her face. "Hi." I smile introducing myself.
"Save it." She snaps.
That was rude.
"Listen I don't know what you're doing to Vincenzo but I'd advise you to quit your job now before he throws you to the curb much as he did to me. The only thing he's interested in is finding new ways to make you moan. He doesn't care."
I look at her and try to hold myself from laughing. "I didn't throw myself at him like you. And I'm fine, thanks."
She checks the time on her watch and then looks back at me. "You've been warned." She hisses walking out of my room.
Once she leaves and I begin to burst out into laughter but I'm quickly stopped at my phone vibrating.
I look down at it and see many miscalls from an unknown number.
I quickly call the number back and they immediately pick up the call. "Hello." A familiar Australian accent says.
"Hi, Amelia."
~
"Who asked you to get to get involved?" He asks me with anger.
"Who asked you to go seeking for Amelia out of nowhere?" I retort.
"You're going to get angry at me for having curiosities?"
"Only if they involve you breaking into someone's house." I respond.
He groans running a hand through his hair.
"What were you even planning on achieving?" I question.
"You have to have come from somewhere, Arabella." He explains. "And there isn't any information on where you came from."
"So you don't trust me?" I gasp.
"Can you blame me? I live a dangerous lifestyle. You have to have your guard up 24/7."
"Yeah, so another company won't steal your business idea." I scoff with sarcasm.
"Or maybe because I don't want to get in trouble for all the people I've killed. All the drugs I've sold. All the shit I've done." He yells.
"What do you mean the people you've killed? The drugs you've sold? The shit you've done?" I question him repeating his words.
Sighing, he turns his gaze away from me. "I don't want to talk about this, Arabella." He says at last.
"Well, when you are you can come find me." I final, walking into my room and slamming the door.
~
Slowly knocking on the door, she finally opens it with a frown on her face. "What?" she spits.
"I came to apologize." I say mirroring her expression and handing her favourite smoothie.
"For your crazy boyfriend breaking into my apartment?" She sarcastically smiles.
"He's not my boyfriend." I cringe. "I'm just sorry and wondered if you'd like to get revenge on him." I smirk.
"What type of revenge?"
I hold up his credit card with a huge grin on my face.
*-*-*
So, you've finally met Amelia. I hope she doesn't end up leaving her at the end. But then again, that's in my control *evil grin*
Remember when I told you that I wanted Arabella to be a stripper? Well, Amelia was supposed to be just like Arabella and Arabella like Amelia but Arabella was always the protagonist. It's crazy how things change. I decided to give Amelia the stripper role.
Someone told me they weren't a fan of Arabella like they don't like her. Not going to lie to you guys, Arabella isn't my favourite character in this book. She's a bit too goody goody for my liking. Luca is my favourite character :)
I'd like to quickly thank all of you guys for reading and supporting my book. We're almost at 400 reads and we've gotten 65 votes!!! I love you all so much.
