"Isn't that the girl Varallo came with?" Marco asks referring to Arabella. "Arabella?"

"Yes?" I respond.

"Overheard one of Giovanni's men talking about her." He says pointing towards someone who was looking at me.

I stare back at him and we lock eyes for a while. "I'll be right back." I say making my way towards the man.

Once I get to him the men talking to him leave. "What's your connection to Arabella?" I ask him, getting straight to the point.

A nervous smile seems to appear on his face. "I don't have any business with her. She's your boss's girl, right?"

"Personal assistant." I correct. "But that doesn't mean she's for sale."

He looks over at her talking to a girl with strawberry blonde hair. "Tell your boss that she's being watched by men everywhere."

He walks away from me leaving me to go find Vincenzo. Once I find him I inform him about what happened. "We're not really going to let them take Arabella?"

"Why would I let someone touch Arabella?"

"Making her your personal assistant isn't enough to keep them away." I state.

He looks over to her. "Then I guess I'm going to have to get rid of her fidanzato prezioso." [Italian Translation: precious boyfriend]

"I think he might have been her boyfriend." I say referring to the stranger. "He must've been sent by Giovanni or something."

"Follow me." He orders. We walk over to Arabella where she is. He orders her to go with me and finally does what she's told to do.

"Why did he need me to go back with you?" She asks me immediately the car starts.

"I can't tell you that Arabella, I'm sorry."

She pouts and looks out the window. "So tell me about your boyfriend." I say trying to start a conversation.

"I know it sounds crazy but I think I saw him at that party. The guy you were talking to." She reminds.

"Hm, really?" I ask, trying to sound surprised.

"Yeah, he's actually engaged to that girl I was talking to. I feel bad because she was such a nice person."

"What about you? Aren't you sad that he lied and cheated on you?" I question.

She shrugs. "I guess I should be upset. I am. He shouldn't have lied to me." She spoke.

"Forget him, you always have me." I smirk which earns a laugh from her. "I better watch what I'm saying before Vincenzo kills me," I mutter.

I'm pretty sure she heard me but thankfully she didn't say anything about it. My phone vibrates and my attention is stolen by Vincenzo's text. 'Make sure she packs her bags for tomorrow morning. We're going to Italy to keep her safe for a while, and make sure she breaks up with her boyfriend by tonight.'

"Are you going to break up with him?" I ask her.

"I rather tell him in person. So maybe tomorrow."

I scratch the back of my neck and chuckle a bit. "Vincenzo actually suggested we all leave for Italy first thing tomorrow morning, that place you wanted to go." I explain.

"Oh, okay I guess." She shrugs resting her head against the window.

Not sure what to say next I decided to absorb the silence of the car ride.

"You called the cops on me!" Vincenzo yelled.

Luca sighed and rubbed his eyes. "I didn't call the cops on you. I called the cops on the guys who took my sister." He explained through tears.

"I told you I'd get her back, but you just had to go tell the cops that I killed someone."

He looked down at his feet too embarrassed to look at him. "We're meant to be fucking brothers you idiota. You're meant to have my back. And you backstab me." [Italian Translation: Idiot]

"I'm sorry, Vince. I'm really sor-."

"Don't fucking call me Vince ever again." He cut him off. "I should kill you for your betrayal." He added picking up his gun.

"Please don't shoot me, Vincenzo! I'm sorry, I'll do anything you ask me to! Just don't shoot me!" He begged, falling onto his knees and pulling his hands together.

He watched him beg for his life while he could do nothing but watch. He didn't want to kill his life-long best friend; the closest thing he had to a brother. He dropped the gun on the floor and kicked it away.

"If you fuck up the mission I'm sending you on, I'll kill you this time."

"You won't be disappointed, fratello." [Italian Translation: Brother]

I look down at Lucia's unconscious body and smile. "Arabella and Vincenzo are finally going to get together. Her stupid boyfriend cheated on her. I know you're going to be happy about it. I'm pretty sure you'd ship them."

"Can you not talk about this in front of me?" He asks causing me to turn around.

"Shut up." I snap. "I'm going to Italy tomorrow morning with Vincenzo and Arabella so we can protect Arabella for a while. I love you."

I walk back to Vincenzo and give him a small smile. "She's going to wake up, I promise." He comforts.

"I hope so."

A small backstory on Luca. I felt like you guess should understand how he became apart of Vincenzo's 'pact'. I hope y'all don't dislike him or anything or hate me for not giving him a character aesthetic. He'll get his aesthetic in a later chapter because that one has more significance to him.

Also, this is really early because I'm going to be really busy for the rest of the day.
