I have a question at the end to do with the picture at the side, so bear with me! Now go ahead and enjoy what I'd like to think is the start of a new section of the story.... :)

Chapter 6

Luke

After a relatively good day of school, I was stopped at the school gates by Michael. I gave him the tired look and attempted to brush past him, but he pinched my collar and dragged me back.

“Where are you going, Luke?”

“Home.”

“Haha, not so soon. You’re gonna get some fist-“

Calum appeared and looked at Michael with wide open eyes. Michael closed his mouth and shook his head quickly. “He’s gonna get what? Fist?” Calum asked with a smile.

“Whatever.”

“Come on Michael, let’s go. See you tomorrow Hemmings,” Calum said to me with a wink. Beforehand, Calum had told me to go to his to do homework. I told Jack to tell mum that we were coming back before dinner, and kept my distance on the bus and the pavement from Calum and Michael on the way back to his. Michael sort of lived near Calum, but further away from school than him so once Michael had gone out of sight, I was allowed to enter the Hood household.

Calum got me a drink and we sat down on the sofa, getting books out. “Can we start with maths? Cause you need to help me with that.”

He told me what it was he didn’t get about today’s lesson, and I tried my best to explain it. But since Calum’s gorgeousness kept distracting me, I found it just the tiniest bit difficult. Twenty minutes passed and we moved onto the next homework, physics.

It neared five and we decided to stop it there. “Finish your drink, then we’ll leave,” Calum ordered, packing away his books. He put his own cup in the dishwasher and once I had finished, mine. “Actually let me just go to the loo…”

I shoved the books back in my bag too and stood up, heading to the door. Suddenly, I heard a knock. I swallowed. If it was anyone from school, they would be incredibly suspicious as to why Luke Hemmings was at Calum Hood’s house. Silently, I tiptoed upstairs to the toilet where Calum was.

“Calum, someone’s at the door,” I half whispered, knocking.

“Open it then?”

“I can’t. What if it’s Michael or someone like that?”

He hesitated. Even more suddenly than before, the front door opened and closed. I heard a deep sigh from downstairs, and when Calum opened the bathroom door, I pushed him back inside and locked us both inside. Dammit. I wasn’t going to get caught, was I?

“Calum? Are you home?”

It was a girl’s voice. Oh no, it wasn’t Katie was it…?

“Shit Luke, it’s my sister.”

Our eyes widened and I gulped. “Didn’t she say she was coming back next week?”

“Yeah. I’m just as surprised as you are right now!”

“You should probably go out. She’ll find out that you’re here sooner or later. And since we’re leaving, let’s do it quickly. Should she see me? Is it okay?”
