Were Gulons green? Were necklaces clunky? What did pasta look like?
Scrambled, random thoughts ran through Keefe's mind like wild horses.
How fluffy was a pillow? Why was mallowmelt so yummy? What's harder than a diamond?
He couldn't make sense of them, couldn't figure out why his mind was so... so...
When was his inception date? How did humans run? Why was gold so pretty?
The last thought brought him out of his daze.
Sophie. She was why gold was his favorite color. Her eyes, with lithe, dancing specks of gold in the midst of the beautiful brown.
And she was the reason he was still there. The reason he hadn't lost himself completely to a world of scrambled thoughts and empty darkness.
Sophie.
Sophie.
Sophie.
I'll still be here.
