Awkward Meeting
It was raining cats and dogs as I stepped out of the building. I was currently pissed at my boss and in a sour mood. It was Friday and I was looking forward to the weekend. After the long and tiring day, I made my way to my favorite café, Gusto’s. As I entered the small place I could already smell the hot, steaming coffee. It wasn’t so full of people like last week. There were lots of tables free on the right side.
“Shay! The usual?” David asked. I nodded. I was here often since the coffee tasted great and the people were nice too. Everybody knew me, especially David. He made me a nice cup of Chai Latte and set it down on the counter. “On the house.” He said and smiled. I smiled back, feeling better already and sighed. After finishing my tasty drink, I decided to head home. While turning my head around, I smacked into something real hard.
“Ow!” I yelled in pain. I looked up to see icy blue eyes squinting at me. My drink was spilled on my chest and on my hand. The guy standing in front of me was glaring now and I felt slightly terrified. Crap. “Uhh…sorry.” I managed to get out. He just kept glaring at me. Damn what is his problem? I said sorry and plus, he was in my goddamn way! “Watch where you’re going.” He growled. Oh, now I’m aggressive. “I should watch where I’m going? How ‘bout you pay attention to where you’re standing Mister!” I said and shoved him out of the way, heading out of the café and going in the direction of my apartment. What a jerk.
