"Kiddo, it's been four days, we're really worried about you!" Patton knocked on Romans door. "Please come outside."

Roman sighed. "Just talk to Remus if you need something. He can easily do my job. I'm not needed."

"Roman, that is ridiculous." Logan stood outside of the door. "You are just as needed as your brother, if not more."

Roman didn't answer, just sat on his red satin, sheets. He stared at his mirror, he'd let his hair get unruly, and he hadn't slept, so he had dark circles under his eyes. His formerly perfect face care schedule, had crashed, and he already had a few pimples. But the worst thing, he let his smile be torn down, his previously perfect smile, was no longer there. Thanks to his acting skills, he could easily fake it, but that didn't feel right, there was no point anyway. Remus could do his job, while The 'Ever So Great' Roman wasted away in his room.

Patton sighed, "If it helps you get out, the other boy woke up." He walked away sadly. Roman's heart jumped.

"He seemed quite confused when he woke up, we were thinking, perhaps you could talk to him. Clear some things up for him." Logan said. When Roman didn't answer, Logan walked away.

Perhaps... I should talk to him. I can't have an enemy know when I'm weak! I'll hide it, he won't expect me to be fine at all! Even though it was my fault dad died anyway. Roman thought to himself. I won't let him, or anyone, know I'm hurting! A great hero must never show weakness!

(Did I just stumble upon something I could make big? Gee... I don't know.)

And so, Roman started cleaning himself up. The prince took a shower, and brushed his hair. He ordered food to his room and ate, he drank water, washed his face. Now all he had to do was sleep so he could get rid of those eye bags! He did just that, Roman changed into pajamas and fell into his newly made bed, falling into a not-so dreamless sleep. (I was rereading this for typos and stuff and read. "The prince took a shower, and ate his hair." I think I shouldn't be doing this while sleep deprived...)

Roman walked into a dark pine forest. Every tree, and every plant had a strange yellow or purple shadow. His footsteps were silent, just as everything else was. Slowly, Roman started to notice animals like rabbits and deer running away from behind him.

He turned around and spotted a foal. "Hello." It said.

Roman took out a sword, startled by the talking deer. "Who, or, what are you?"

"I suppose you wouldn't remember me while I'm in this form." The foal slowly started growing into a tall woman with long brown hair, and blue eyes. She wore a red and gold robe, with a silver crown on her head. She smiled at Roman. "My dear, you've grown so much."

"Mother?" Roman dropped his sword and ran to her. "How, what?"

Romans mom laughed and embraced her son, how he had missed the harmony of her voice, able to call any animal to her. "Many things that you do not know of are possible. Now, I'm here to tell you something, and I don't have much time, so listen closely."

"Of course." Roman pulled away, facing her. "What ever it is, I shall listen."

She smiled. "Good," Queen Lybia waved her hand, and the setting changed to a cave. "This is the cave of Portum. The kingdoms name sake." Lybia looked down sternly at Roman. "It is not  what the name implies. It is no Haven."

"Okay. What do I need to know about this cave?"

"It will have answers."

"What kind? Will I need answers soon? Am I going on some quest I don't know about?"

"One more thing," Lybia waved her hand again, sending them to a version of the throne room in the palace. But this was overgrown with vines.

"You didn't answer my que-" Roman cut himself off, seeing his father walk up to them. Memories of the past days rushed into his mind. "Father." He said quietly. "I'm so sorry. If I had only listened to you, none of this would have happened! Everything would be fine, and this is all my-" Roman was yet again cut off, but this time by his father.

"Don't blame this on yourself. Everything will be alright." The king and queen started to fade, slowly the surroundings followed.

"No, no. Don't leave me! Don't go again!" Roman yelled, reaching for them. "Don't leave me alone!"

Phillipe and Lybia smiled. "All will make sense soon. In the mean time... don't you have a certain meeting with someone?" Lybia said, the last of her fading.

Roman woke up with a start. He had tears in his eyes as he looked at the clock next to his bed. 2:30 in the morning, great.
