Ten | Fallen Promise: A Century 1

DION SCHMITZ

          After a long stay in the angel's realm, finally now I'm sent back to the living world. I still don't know how many years it will take for me to be back as a human again. I will endure everything, I can do this definitely. I haven't received any new mission yet, so the first thing that came out of my mind is to visit the garden, the park-themed garden that we've been before. I wanted to know how much it changed after a hundred years. I wonder if the bottle is still there, or if he dug it out already.

          As soon as I arrived, I noticed a lot of change. The tree was filled with hanging letters now. I guess that this place became popular. There are gazebos built with 5 meters distance in every gazebo. There were still cherry blossom trees, but it grew up in numbers, I mean it doubled the number unlike before. There are now different colors of roses. The pathway before was red bricks, and now it's colored black. There's an additional elevated land wherein I can see stairs, it's about a hundred steps before arriving at the top.

          I looked for the maze garden if it's still the same. When I got there, the statue was not there anymore, it was replaced by a fountain. I guess the letter was not there anymore. I won't be able to read it.

          I flew the elevated land to see what's there, since before it wasn't there. I'm shocked to see that the statue was transferred there. And there's a glass box at the front. I recognized the bottle inside which is in the middle, and there were two letters spread side by side. Underneath is a note. "An everlasting Love". There were names written in a gold plate under each letter and red thread forming to hearts connecting to the other name.

          "So, he didn't forget me, from the rest of his life" "How sweet of you" As I read the names that are written on the gold plates. Dion and Clint. I moved my gaze to the letter that he preserved. "TSS.. He's announcing his love for me to the public now", a tear fell from my eyes. He's still so annoying, though I'm in tears, I was smiling, because of the letter he wrote, and I'm reading it now, currently.

Dear Dion,

          Hi, twenty-year old Dion, it's me, the eighteen year old Clint, your so annoying childhood friend. We made this deal to open this letter when we reach twenty. Dion, since we were young you're already special for me. I can't forget when we were four that you kissed my swollen lips. Your naivety made me fell for you at a young age. Right now at this moment, I'm confessing my love for you. Every moment we spend time together is like heaven for me, that nothing could ever replace. I like you. I love You. You're my addiction. I know you find me so annoying, but I'm just doing it on purpose, because you're so cute when you're annoyed. Dion, I promise you, no matter what happen, I'll always be right here for you. I'll always be the Clint you know since childhood, there's no other person who can surpass the way I feel for you, nobody can ever be you. I love you to the maximum level. Dion, WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND? And one more thing, I know that I won't fail this in the future after we settled and build our own, I'd like to ask in advance, WILL YOU MARRY ME?

          After reading it. I fell into silence. I felt relieved that he felt the same way towards me, but I wonder how did he endure my loss. Just wait for me, we will meet again soon.

          I flew eastward, and I saw, that this one is totally new. There's a house built, he must have stayed here, seeing that though it's kinda old but still elegant, I can see that it was renovated well. I went inside, there are lots of humans, I guess they made this into a rest house. Of course humans won't be able to see me. I wandered around the place and arrived in front of a room. It was labeled CLIDION, and it was locked and there's a [No Entry Sign] I swooped inside, yes of course I can cross anywhere, without opening, I'm like a ghost.

          It was Clint's room. I saw a picture of us at the table, beside the bed. It was a picture of us when we were eighteen. I didn't see any picture of him as an old man, I guess he did not put any. I laid in the bed, and feel the warmth of the bed, imagining he is beside me. Since this is off limits, this will now be my territory.

          As I was about to fall asleep, the scroll suddenly lit, so I guess. Here comes my first mission. Then I chanted the phrase. "Take me to my mission".

NATHAN

          I'm currently now doing mission. This task was a bit too hard for me, there's this wandering soul and he's hard to catch. And to add on, he's so spooky. Because it's a rotten soul that has been wandering for years. He escaped me, and I have find him again, it's like I'm playing hide and seek with a ghost. "Nathan?" I heard someone called from above. So I looked up and there I saw Dion. I forgot my mission for moment, I rushed and flew up towards her, because I haven't seen her for so long, I hugged her so tightly. And I found myself smiling. "Haha, Nathan you're squeezing me too tight" she complained, so I let go of her. "Sorry, I was just carried by surprise, I just missed my first angel buddy" I said in a low tone. "Why were you here? Well, it's a good thing anyway I won't be lonely in this world anymore cause you're here" Dion said, I don't know why but, her words sank deeply in my heart. "I'm on a mission catching a wandering ghost" I replied to her. "Oh really? I am too, maybe I was sent here to help you, because you're having a hard time, haha, what were you doing, you're a boy and you're seeking help from a girl" she said. I know she's teasing me.

          "Hey, don't cling unto me once you see that ghost" I said to frighten her. "Hey, don't be like that, is the ghost really that horrible just like how we see in movies?" She said, while walking towards me, grabbing my hand and hiding behind my back. "Hahaha, now you're scared, don't underestimate me, or the mission okay" I teased her. "Alright, Don't stay too far from, I'll just hide at your back, you do the thing, let's just report that we both captured the ghost" She said. "So cute" I accidentally said.

          "What did you say? I did not hear it properly" she asked. Thank goodness she did not hear it. "I said, your ugly" I said to her, which made her face frown and pouted. Haha she's becoming even more cuter when annoyed. Okay, I'm going to tease her more often so I'll be able to see this cute reaction from her, time to time.

           We located the ghost, and luckily, the mission is done. Obviously, it was only done by me, she's telling me that it was her first mission and that the ghost was too scary so she was just at my back grabbing my top white garment, cuddling like a puppy. Kinda Cute again. I found myself an angel I can own. Yes, right now at this moment, I realized, I'm in love with my co-angel.
