Chapter 4: Stiles' POV

A loud incessant buzzing woke me up from a deep sleep.

"What the shit!" I screamed, trying to rub the sleep out of my eyes and find the source of the awful noise at the same time.

Eventually I found my phone buzzing on my nightstand, Scott's name and picture lighting up the screen. What is so damn important that he had to wake me up from my afternoon nap? Scott knows that I like to sleep in a lot during the week before school starts.

More than slightly annoyed, I aggressively hit the green answer key and brought the phone to my ear.

"Dude, you had better be dying or in serious trouble because you just interrupted one of the best naps I have ever had."

"Sorry bro, nothing's wrong." Scott's chuckling voice emanated from the speaker. "What's so funny?" I asked, getting more and more aggravated. "Does my pain amuse you or something?"

"No, it's nothing. Anyways, could you help me show Faye around town and out to lunch? We're on our way to your house right now."

Faye? Who the hell is that? The name definitely sounded familiar, but I couldn't put a face to it. Maybe she's one of Kira's friends.

"Who is Faye?" I ask, knowing that Scott is going to be mad for not remembering a name that he told me.

"Seriously? The girl who just moved in with me and my mom. The one that I've literally been talking to you about for weeks!" I could hear a light laughing in the background, probably from the girl in question.

"Riiiiight. I guess that I could clear my busy schedule of doing nothing to go and have lunch with you guys." I groaned, flopping back down onto the pillow. "Bro, put me on speaker!"

A few silent seconds passed as Scott fulfilled my request, filled only with the sounds of tires on gravel.

"Okay, you're officially on speaker. Just a warning, Faye is also in the car, so keep that in mind when you're about to say something inappropriate." Scott said knowingly.

"Don't worry about that." I said back before letting out a guttural yawn. "It's too early for any of those kinds of jokes."

Faye's soft laughter rang in my ears again, but it was more of a stifled giggle this time. "What? What's so funny now!?"

No response.

"Hello?" I pressed on, determined to find out why she was laughing. Was she too shy to respond or something?

Finally, a timid feminine voice spoke up. She was quiet, but just loud enough to hear. "Don't take this the wrong way, but you sound exactly like Chewbacca when you yawn."

I sat up quickly, now interested in the direction that this conversation was headed.

"You've seen Star Wars?" I asked, excited beyond belief. Scott groaned in annoyance. "Not this again." I'm always pestering him about watching those amazing movies, but he has never taken the time to actually do it. It sucks, because I'm always making really clever Star Wars references and they are completely wasted on him.

"Of course I have!" Faye responded, this time with an air of confidence. "They're classics!" Finally, someone understands the importance of a good science-fiction movie.

Before I could dive into an overly geeky conversation with Faye, Scott's voice interrupted me.

"Alright dude, we're here."
