NPC Grian round Scar alone in his room the day after the Watchers revealed themselves. The mayor had evidently been crying about something, since his eyes were red.

'Hey, NPG...' he greeted mournfully. The robot sat down.

'You ok?'

'No. Grian hates me, and two of my friends were murdered.'

'Grian's the one I look like, right?'

'Yep. He shouted at me and then flew away. Mumbo said that he was going to kill himself. I didn't have the guts to follow. So now he's dead, and I feel like it's my fault.'

'Oh... I'm sorry...' NPC Grian awkwardly tried to comfort Scar, not exactly sure how to do it.

'It's ok... everything's going wrong recently. Except you, NPG. You're still kind to me.'

'Of course I am, you were the one who helped me.'

'I'm glad you're here for me.'

'Always will be.' The robot replied, smiling warmly. He adjusted his gifted cowboy hat and hugged Scar. The mayor hugged back, before breaking away.

'You remind me so much of him...' He murmured.

'Of Grian?'

'Yeah... I don't know if that's a good thing or not.'

'Neither do I...'

At that moment, Jellie wandered nonchalantly over to the two, jumping onto the chair. NPC Grian fussed over her, and the grey cat purred loudly, collapsing into a bundle of cuteness. Scar scratched her behind her ears and laughed.

'I got her in my first season here. Found her in a box in the shopping district and claimed her as my own. We were best friends instantly. She's always been here for me.'

'I wish I had my own Jellie...' NPC Grian sighed.

'Grian had a cat who looked exactly like Jellie. And since Grian isn't here any more, then I guess we can find her, then you can.' Scar replied. The robot brightened instantly, and the two set off.

The journey to Grian's base was really short, and moments later the two were there, quietly calling Gellie's name. NPC Grian looked around the hobbit hole, coming across the mask, headphones and hoodie again. He took the hoodie, liking the look of it, and put it on, under the wizard robes.

Scar was flying around the mansion, getting a bird's-eye view of the area. He landed by one of the chimneys, shouting Gellie's name as softly as he could. Instead of the counterfeit cat, an unexpected figure in a red sweater flew from the mansion. The mayor looked startled, and chased Grian down. He collided with the builder, and the two fell to the ground, skidding to a stop.

'Grian! I though you were dead!'

'What do you mean? And why did you try and kill me?' Grian was angry, and Scar stepped back.

'I wasn't! I was just getting your attention! You know I'm not the best flyer ever...'

'You could've just done it normally! Now you've gone and torn my trousers!'

There was indeed a tear in the leg of the builder's trousers, and a small graze underneath.

'I didn't mean any harm...'

'And why are you even here?'

'Me and NPG were looking for Gellie. You never play with her, or do anything  with her. I thought you wouldn't mind, and also thought you'd tried to kill yourself again!' Scar brushed away the tears that were blocking his vision.

'She's mine! You know she is! I though the mayor would be above stealing!' The word mayor was spat, and Grian turned to fly away. Scar pulled him back, ripping the builder's sweater.

'Are you trying to make me angry?!' Grian snarled as he span to face the mayor. Scar stepped back apologetically.

'I'm sorry...'

'You never learn, do you?!'

'I don't want to...'

'YES YOU DO! NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!'

Gravitated by the shouting, NPC Grian glided over. As soon as he saw the silver hoodie, Grian shoved the robot to the ground.

'GIVE THAT BACK! IT'S MINE! YOU EVIL THIEF!'

NPG looked terrified, and scrambled to his feet, backing away.

'I didn't think...'

'OF COURSE YOU DIDN'T THINK! YOU'RE JUST A DUMB ROBOT!'

'I'M NOT A DUMB ROBOT!' Something in NPC Grian clicked, and he growled ferally. 'YOU WERE THE ONE THAT HID ME FOR YEARS! SHOVED ME IN A BOX LIKE A DISCARDED TOY. YOU CAUSED MY PAIN! YOU WILL PAY FOR IT!'

'NPG! STOP!' Scar yelled desperately, running over to and holding back the robot. In one swift move he was knocked to the ground.

'All of you... All of you are the same... Heartless mortals who don't have enough kindness in themselves to fill a glass bottle.' NPG panted, eyes wild, furious, like a wild beast. 'Even I, with a heart of steel, have more sympathy towards suffering.'

Grian drew his sword, prepared to fight. Scar shook his head, telling the builder to put it away, to spare his friend.

'Grian. Stop. Don't kill him.' The mayor commanded when Grian didn't comply. The builder sighed and put his sword down.

NPC Grian looked over at Scar, clearly warmed by his actions. The mayor stood shakily up, but NPG didn't fight him. Instead, he followed complacently as Scar returned to his base, leaving Grian alone.
