SoftKit waited until they had been sent into the nursery and all the cats were asleep other then SandBush, EmberWing and MistyHeart.
Sneaking past them was going to easy due to SoftKit's size. All she had to do is keep to the bushes and make it up the GreenRock to FlameStar's den quietly. Or...

An idea came to SoftKit's head, the Warriors were overly vigilant tonight. She took one of the pebbles the kits played with, and as hard as she could hit it to the entrance.

The pebble hit a stick causing a thumb, and the three warriors jumped and went to investigate.
SoftKit seeing this as her chance quickly and quietly moved to the shadow under the bush next to nursery as the Warriors went to the nursery and peaked in almost panicked.

SoftKit's heart dropped, they thought one of the kits left camp!
She quickly came out from under the bush and booked it for FlameStar's den climbing up the large stones next to the GreenRock reaching the den.
"SoftKit is out of the nursery!" Called MistyHeart loudly breaking her silent vigil which was allowed if there was a emergency.

SoftKit froze as the leader lifted her head her blue eyes fixed on SoftKit with a confused expression.
"F-FlameStar, listen, ummm, a cat named SplotchedTail that looked a lot like my mother..."
she began but knew her leader wouldn't believe her.

FlameStar rose from her nest and went to the entrance, "no need to worry any cat, SoftKit is with me safe." She called to her ClanMates who were beginning to panic, especially OakWish and SpotFur.

"Why isn't she in the nursery? That's where I left her!" SoftKit heard her mother say.

"She was sleeping right next to me." SoftHeart meowed.

"She snuck up here." FlameStar said tiredly, "I'll have a talking to her for you SpotFur and OakWish, I won't be too hard, she came to tell me something." The leader continued.

Oh no. SoftKit thought, she was in so much trouble now.

"Good work you three noticing she was gone, SoftKit is sneaky." FlameStar praised the warriors before turning back to SoftKit. Her flame like tabby fur was being hit by moonlight, the full moon would be tomorrow, as well as her turning six moons old.

It was odd, kits normally weren't born during the Full moon while the gathering was happening, that's why MossFur had to stay behind, and how MoonKit got her name.

"Now," FlameStar said calmly. "What did SplotchedTail tell you?"

SoftKit was taken aback, but quickly said what the she-cat had told her the best she could. "Do you know what that means?" She asked after explaining what happened, "does it mean we're in danger?"

FlameStar approached SoftKit and licked her head. "The warriors of this Clan fight for each other, fight for the lives of their ClanMates. You are as safe as you can be SoftKit." She explained.

SoftKit felt more at ease to this and calmed down and yawned.

"Come on, you can sleep in my nest tonight, you're too tired to go back to the nursery." FlameStar meowed yawning herself moving over to her nest leaving room for SoftKit.

SoftKit went up to the warm leader and snuggled up to her like she would do to one of the queens or her siblings in the nursery.

"Hey FlameStar, do you ever get lonely sleeping by yourself in this den?" SoftKit asked her eyes closed starting to drift off.

"Yes SoftKit. It does get lonely, and cold. But I know my ClanMates are outside safely in their dens, and that gives me all the warm I need." The leader explained.

"That's sad, I'll come visit your den. Even when I'm a warrior." SoftKit said yawning.

FlameStar chuckled, "that's very kind, but you don't have to. Just sleep SoftKit, tomorrow is another day."
