Y/N POV
You were the only foreign trainee at Woollim Entertainment, the home for the famous kpop groups INFINITE and Lovelyz. You always had a dream to be a big star, wanting to be like the ones that perform in front of millions of people, able to soothe their fans with their angel-like voice. A person who was able to captivate their audience with their dance, vocals, and personality. That's who you wanted to be. You wanted to be an Idol...
You were a Chinese American who moved to Korea after being scouted by Woolim scouts at your high school's talent show. During your performance, you were able to impress the scouts so much by your singing that they knew they wanted you under their label.
You had a reputation in your highschool for being a strong vocalist, but a terrible dancer, due to never having the time to focus and hone your abilities. You always wanted to learn how to dance, but you also never had the opportunity to learn.
The Woollim scouts wanted you to become a trainee under their label, allowing you to learn everything it took to become an idol. They even offered to take care of you in Korea, providing you with shelter, daily meals, professional training, and all you needed to strive in the industry. They were basically giving you a life in Korea and the tools to mold you into becoming a great idol... It was a golden ticket you couldn't refuse.
However, that was much easier said than done. At first, you felt quite reluctant to move to Korea since you didn't really know a single person in that country. You had no relatives that lived in Korea, and you didn't know any Korean. If you were to go, you would be alone...
You were terrified by the fact that you would be alone, having no one to support you. However, your dream to become an idol was much stronger than that feeling of fear. You wanted to be an idol too much to let it slip away. If this was going to be your long path to becoming a star, then you had to take it. With your parent's permission, you were able to move to Korea to start your life as the newest Woollim trainee.
The adaptation to the new country was difficult. Not only was there a language barrier, but also a significant cultural difference. You loathe the fact that you didn't understand any Korean, causing many problems along your journey to become an idol. Since you were the only foreigner in the company, there were no classes offered to help a Chinese American learn Korean at Woolliment Entertainment.
