"aunties nephew sleepy" Lani smiled as she held Hendrix, seeing he let out a yawn. She held his little hand that he eventually wrapped around her finger
"I hope he stay this chill after we leave" I told her and she kept her eyes on him for a minute before looking up at me again
"He ain been crying"
"Yeah but not that much. All he do is just sit there"
"I bet yo momma barely let you hold him since he came out"
"Between her and Benji... he should be on his way up here now. He went to go get the other car seat from his house"
"Y'all going home tomorrow?"
"Hopefully. They tryina make sure I'm straight to go since I had to get a c section"
"Did it hurt?"
"I mean afterwards, yeah but I couldn't feel nothing while it was happening. I honestly don't even remember too much of it anyways. All I know is after they pulled him out they held him up and my ass went to sleep" I shrugged as my phone vibrated beside me. MJ was FaceTiming me. I answered the phone and her smiling face appeared in the camera
"Hey mommas. You feeling better today?"
"Yeah. I'm still hurting a little but that medicine gone kick in soon"
"Good. I got outta class early today so I'm bout to head up there. Where my baby at?"
"Lani over there holding him right now"
"It's just yall two?"
"Yeah. Benji should be on his way back, his momma and sister supposed to be coming back too, my momma went to work so she'll be back later. Bri, shy and Meechie just left about an hour ago"
"Ohhh that bitch went up there without me?"
"Yes he did. And he held Hendrix too"
"Ima beat his ass. I told him he wasn't supposed to go up there until I go. Matter of fact lemme call him. I'll see you when I get up there"
"Alright" I laughed and hung up the phone hearing the door open. Benji walked in with the car seat and Meechie walked in behind him making me laugh again
"The hell you laughing at?" Benji asked and I glanced at Meechie while shaking my head
"Nothing.."
"She lyin. She did some" Meechie told Benji as his phone started ringing. He looked down at it and sighed before walking out the room to answer it. After he left Benji walked over to the bed and sat on the side of it
"Why you look sleepy?" I asked him while I reached and wiped something off of his face before laying back against the bed
"I'm tired as shit"
"Why you ain took a nap while you was at home"
He ran his hand across his face and shook his head
"You needa go to sleep Benji. Forreal"
"I will later"
"Not no later.. NOW"
"Who momma you is? Mine or that lil nigga over they"
"Obviously both cause you'on listen"
Benji looked over at Lani "you ain had school today?"
"Class was cancelled for the day" she answered while she rocked Hendrix "I'm bout to go though. I got papers to write"
