Nate's POV
School was alright today... I'm just glad it's Friday.
Gilinsky was with all of us for most of the day but the only person he would talk to was Johnson.
Sammy Adams sent me a text earlier saying that he would be in town for the night and most of tomorrow.
I told him he could crash at my place.
I had decided to go out and get some wings from Buffalo Wild Wing for me and Sammy because I had no food at home...
When I got to Buffalo Wild Wings I saw Cara's car in the parking lot.
I walked in and saw her and Gilinsky in a booth.
I decided not to acknowledge they were there because I honestly didn't want to deal with Gilinsky.
I ordered the wings and there was gonna be a 45 minute wait.
As I was walking out the door to go sit in my car to wait I heard Cara call my name, "Nate!"
I turned around to see her walking up towards me, "Hey Cara! What are you up to?"
She gave me a hug, "Just grabbing a bite with Gilinsky. What are you doing here?"
"Sammy is going to be in town tonight and I was getting some wings for us tonight."
"That's cool. Why don't you come sit with me and Gilinsky while you wait."
"I don't know if that's a good idea..."
"Oh come on Nate.... Y'all need to work this shit out. He's our friend and so are you."
"Fine."
We walk over to their table and as we sat down to waitress brought Cara and Gilinsky's food out.
We all sat in silence for about 5 minutes and then Cara spoke, "Y'all need to put this bullshit behind you! It's aggrivating and stupid!"
I looked up over at Gilinsky and then out the window.
We sat there for about 1 more minutes and Gilinsky looked up at me, "Look I'm sorry for saying all that shit last night at Laurel's....."
"It's fine I guess.... I just have one question."
"What?"
"Why did you punch me yesterday and then say all that stuff last night? I didn't do anything to you and I thought we were cool and then out of knowhere you punch me and then talk carp....."
"In all honesty I don't know... I didn't have all the facts and the ones I did have I didn't have them straight."
"Well next time instead of punching me, would you just come to me and ask?"
He smiled, "Yeah." Then he laughed, "I was a pretty big ass last night."
Then Cara looked up, "Did I just hear Gilinsky own up to being an ass?"
We all just laughed.
A waitress came over and told me my wings were ready.
I got them and told Cara and Gilinsky bye.
Cara told me to tell Sammy hey and then I got in my car and left.
When I got to the house Sammy was already there.
When I walked in the door all I heard was, "Ohhhh wings!"
Then he took them from my hands and sat on the couch.
All I could do was laugh.
"What's so funny cuz?"
"I don't get a hey cuz, how ya been, or nothing. All I get is an Ohhh wings!"
He laughed and I sat down.
He looked over at me, "So how are things going little cuz?"
"They are alright... I got into my first fight... It wasn't physical but yeah..."
He almost choked on a wing, "What the hell! With who?"
"Gilinsky..."
"Why?" He took a sip of his drink.
"Because I slept with Laurel I guess."
He spit his water everywhere, "YOU SLEPT WITH HER?!?!?!?"
"Yeah and then her and I got into a fight and she wouldn't talk to me for days..."
"Wow."
I told him about everything that happened with Gilinsky.
"So y'all are cool now?"
"I guess."
"What exactly is going on with you and Laurel now?"
"I don't know honestly... I'm just glad she's talking to me again."
"You really like this girl don't you?"
"Yeah I really do..."
He got up and started walking around the house saying, "Nate loves Laurel!" like 20 times then came back and sat down, "Nate and Laurel sittin in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
I cut him off, "Shut up right there! I don't love her. I just really really like her!"
