1 year later~
This school year felt like the longest school year the Pines twins had ever had. All they could think about was each other and how long it would be until they saw each other again.
But finally, summer started again. And the Pines twins finally reunited.

Dipper, Stan, Ford, Wendy, and Soos waited around the bus stop for hours. They had been there since eight o' clock in the morning because Dipper just couldn't wait. He wanted to be right there when his sister came, and he didn't want to be a second late.
Soos had fallen asleep on the bench, Wendy was on her phone, Stan was counting money, and Ford was sitting down watching Dipper pace around.
"Dipper, maybe we should go." Ford said finally, "We've been here for hours, and we have no idea when the bus will even come."
"No!" Dipper said, "We have to be here when Mabel gets here! We've waited too long to stop now!"
Wendy looked up from her phone, "Dipper's right Ford, we've waited too long to stop now. Plus they haven't seen each other for a year! Just let him have this!"
Ford sighed, "Ok, ok, we'll wait one more hour."
"Thanks Wendy. And thanks Grunkle Ford." Dipper said.
Thirty minutes had passed by and it was now twelve, almost time for lunch.
"Dudes, I don't know about you, but I'm getting hungry." Soos said, after waking up.
Dipper's stomach then rumbled loudly, since he skipped breakfast, and blushed, "N- no! We have to stay!"
"Dipper, you're clearly hungry! Let's just quickly get something to eat and we'll come right back!" Stan insisted.
"No, I'm fine. Just thirty more minutes, please!" Dipper pleaded.
Suddenly a bus came by and stopped right behind them. Dipper looked behind him and saw a girl with long brown hair, a pink long sleeve shirt with a shooting star in the middle, and a purple skirt.
"Mabel?" Dipper asked.
"Dipp-" She wasn't able to finish her sentence.
Dipper had ran right to his sister and gave her a big hug, "I've missed you so much." he whispered into her ear.
Mabel smiled and whispered to him, "Me too."
They backed away and Mabel smiled and waved to everyone, "Hey guys! It's good to be back!"
Everyone came over and gave Mabel a big hug, "We missed you Mabel!" they all said.
"I missed you guys too!" Mabel said back.
After being welcomed back, Mabel looked at her brother from top to bottom, "Wow Dipping Sauce! You've really changed since last summer!"
Dipper looked down at himself and didn't even notice how different he looked from when he was twelve. He was now slightly taller, wore dark grey baggy shorts, still had his orange shirt, but instead of having a vest, he had a thin white long sleeve shirt underneath.
"Huh? I guess I have," Dipper chuckled, "but you haven't changed a bit!"
Mabel punched her brother jokingly, "Of course I have!"
They both laughed and they all headed to Stan's car. They went to Greasy's diner and had a fun lunch together. Mabel talked about school in California and Dipper talked about his new life in Gravity Falls.
They laughed and joked around, but both hid the fact that they missed each other dearly and that everything wasn't fine during the school year.
Afterwards, they all went to the Mystery Shack and Dipper helped Mabel take her stuff in his/their room.
"Sorry if it's a bit messy," Dipper said before opening the door, "I had to shove a bunch of stuff over to my side to make room for you."
"Oh, it's ok Dipper!" Mabel said.
Dipper opened the door and the attic was filled with adventure posters and conspiracy webs all over the walls, papers and chewed up pens all over the floor, and journals everywhere you looked. So. Many. Journals.
"Wow," Mabel said in shock, "you- you really made this room yours."
Dipper chuckled of embarrassment, "Again sorry, I didn't have much time to clean out the room. But I promise you'll have your side back by tonight."
"Ok!" Mabel said with a big smile.
They both walked in, trying to walk over the huge mess, and Mabel placed her bags on her bed.
"Why's my bed still here?" Mabel asked.
"Oh, um, Grunkle Stan was too lazy to move it." Dipper answered, "Plus, it would feel empty without your bed here."
Mabel smiled a bit at her brother and her smiled back.
They both sat on each of their beds and looked at each other awkwardly, "Sooooo," Mabel said, "How was school in Gravity Falls?"
"It was fine, I guess." Dipper answered, "It was easy and I got straight A's."
"That's good!" Mabel said cheerfully.
"Yeah, but Ford could tell I wasn't exactly happy there, and knows how smart I am. So he asked if I wanted to skip high school and become his official, full time apprentice."
"Wow Dipper!" Mabel said excitedly, "That's amazing!"
"Yeah, I know, but I still want to think about it." Dipper said.
"Well you have all summer to think about it Dipstick." Mabel laughed.
Dipper laughed a bit, but then gained a serious face, "Mabel?" he asked.
"Yeah?"
"Are mom and dad going to come visit me?"
Mabel's eyes grew wide and froze.
"Mabel?"
Mabel shook her head to wake herself up, "Oh would you look at the time! We should go back to Stan, Ford, Soos, and Wend-"
"Mabel!" Dipper shouted a bit, wanting to know the answer.
Mabel looked into her brother's nervous, chocolate brown eyes and sighed, "Dipper, they're not coming. They don't ever want to see your face again."
