Taehyung POV
It was actually unusual for me to let someone else sleep in my bed, but I couldn't do anything against it since it was something father told me to do.
To see if he was already sleeping, I turned to my left and saw Jungkook lying next to me with a sad expression.
"Hey Kookie, is everything ok?" I asked while looking at him.
I never used nicknames since I didn't want to deepen my relationship with anyone, but maybe, I could give Jungkook a chance.
I know that I still won't be able to trust him completely, but I decided to try my best.
"Huh? Ah...it's just...I promised you to explain why I wanted to study with you today, right?" He asked while staring at me.
His dark-brown hair was messy, which made him look cute.I only nodded and turned to Jungkook, paying attention to him.
He looked away from me and left out a sigh.
"Um...well...I actually never talk to anyone about it. But...I...the reason I wanted to practice with you today is...because it's a really important day for me." He quietly said.
Was it his birthday?
"Um...so...I once had... a... brother and he...ah...just- forget it." Jungkook said and turned away from me.
He seemed to be really stressed, but I didn't know what to do since I never really comforted someone, or even had good friends besides Jimin.
I reached out my hand and wanted to pat his head, since that was the only way I knew to comfort someone, but right at this moment, he turned around and I hastily turned my back to him to hide my blushing face.
But then I realized that he couldn't even see it since it was dark.'So stupid...why did I even do this...' I thought to myself, when I felt someone tapping my shoulder.
"What's wrong?" I whispered, since it was already late and I didn't want my father to hear us.
"Um...I guess I...can tell you about it now." He said quietly.
I slowly turned to him and paid attention to Jungkook once again.
"uhm...I once had a brother and he committed suicide six years ago and today is the death day of my brother. That's why I wanted see you because it makes me happy to spend time with you." Jungkook said really fast so that it was almost even not understandable.
"Please tell me if you don't want to listen anymore or something...um...I... think it was my fault that... he died."
I stayed silent, trying to progress everything he just told me.
"I never told anyone about it...but...." Then, he started to tell me everything that happened today, six years ago.
"The number you called is no—"
Jungkook sighed and hang up since his mom and dad were probably too busy with work
to answer their phones. He was sitting on a bench near the football club, his backpack next to him.
Today, the training finished too late since the coach punished the whole team because a few of them had decided to play a prank and cut the balls so that they can go home earlier.
He sighed again at the thought of these classmates of him and looked at the clock.
It was 9:45 pm already.
After calling his mom another five times, he gave up and decided to walk home.
Since he was already too tired and also didn't know where he was, he went to the nearest bus station and sat down.
He was scared that nobody would come and pick him up so that he had to live as a beggar. Also, his feet were hurting and it was 10:15 pm already, that's why Jungkook decided to call his brother.
A few seconds later, he finally picked up.
After explaining him the situation, Jungkook
sent him his location and his brother said that he would be there in 20 minutes.--------
It was 11:45 pm already and his brother still hadn't shown up.
Suddenly, Jungkook's phone rang.
He hoped that it was his brother, but it was his dad.Once again, he explained everything and his father told him that Jaehyun wasn't at home and that he would come himself and pick him up in 25 minutes.
----------------
When they got home, his brother Jaehyun didn't pick up the calls although it had been already 4 days since he disappeared.
That's why they went to the police to report him missing.
Jungkook's mother had been worried sick since days and didn't even eat properly.
-------
2 days later, they've been called to the police station.
The body of his brother had been found in the lake; his car parked on the roadside.
Since they found drugs and an unsent goodbye message on his phone, they were sure that it was suicide.
——-
After the funeral, his parents became really miserable.Jungkook blamed himself for everything, stopped playing football and didn't drive busses since all of that only remembered him to what happened.
His parents didn't talk or even really care about Jungkook.
That's why he started to live with Yoongi as soon as he started to go to the university.A year after his brother's death, there were actually a few people who he told about what happened, but they only pitied him and he didn't want that since he still felt guilty.
That's the reason Yoongi was the only one who knew about his brother and they still stayed friends because he was always there for Jungkook.
--
After everything he told me, I started to see Jungkook differently.
Here he was, lying next to me with an expression like he was scared to death about what I would think of him.
It felt like the energetic and happy Jungkook was gone.
The Jungkook lying next to me had a really fragile side which he tried to hide as good as he could.
It has to be handled with care or else, it would break.
