Chapter 10

Slowly descending down the ladder, a putrid smell rose to Gwen's nose. Scarlett had told her the only way in was to go through the sewers. The weird readings she was getting from the town didn't seem to radiate too far below it.

She jumped down, crouching slightly in the process. Scarlett had told her they would lose signal once she was down, but had given her rough directions on where to find the nearest grate to get into the town.

Gwen headed where she had been told to go, and she turned around several corners. A quiet noise rang from around a corner, and she took out the blade she had concealed. As she jumped around she came face to face with a young, ginger girl who fell down.

The girl's eyes went wide as Gwen pointed the weapon at her.

'Who are you?' She demanded.

'Please don't kill me!' The girl squealed.

Gwen stared down at her before pointing the blade away. 'Who are you?'

'M-My name's Giselle...' She told her. 'I- I was on a s-school trip where we were attacked-'

'Who attacked you?'

'A blonde woman.' She told her. 'In a silver dress.'

'Bridgette...' Gwen muttered.

'Who?'

'Doesn't matter.' Gwen replied. 'I need you to come with me, how did you get in here?'

'I jumped down through a grate.'

'Can you take me there?' She asked.

Giselle nodded. 'H-How did you get here?'

'A different grate.' Gwen told her, not wanting to say from outside. If she said that, this girl might try to run away, but she needed her to help find the way out, she thinks Scarlett could've been wrong.

Gwen stuck a hand out for Giselle.

The girl took it, as she brushed her dirty clothes off.

'Now show me where to go.' Gwen ordered.

Ryu and Cirie were close to the hotel top. Only a few rooves away.

Ryu looked over and noticed a small gap between the building they were on and the one in the distance.

'We need to jump.' Ryu told her.

Cirie nodded. 'You first.'
