Percy's POV

So, you're all probably wondering, what did you do now, Percy?

But, for once, I can finally say that, yes, whilst the science lab did blow up, it was not my fault. I guess.

Alright, I'll back up a little. Me and Annabeth were going to a new school, called Midtown High School. After I had my eight month nap and finished my adventures with making sure my evil great grandma didn't wake up and destroy the world, Annabeth and I decided to try get into a college in New Rome.

Well, I have to try. Annabeth could probably ace the tests without even having to revise. Me, on the other hand, though I won't admit it out loud, am a Seaweed Brain.

So, here I was on the first Monday of September, on my way to another boring school. I promised my mum and Annabeth I would try really hard not to blow this one up or get expelled. Emphasis on try.

"Hey, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth called. She was standing at the end of the street, waiting for me.

I walked over. "Hey, Wise Girl." Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, the sun bouncing of her blonde curls. She looked seriously beautiful, in an intimidating I'll-kill-you-if-you-mess-with-me-way.

"Excited?" She asked.

I shrugged. "Honestly, I'm more nervous. Plus, this sounds like alot of work."

She sighed. "If you want to get in college, you'll have to work hard."

I smiled at her goofily. "Whatever you say, Wise Girl."

She rolled her eyes, but I could see a smirk pulling at her lips. She turned to walk away. "Come on, Seaweed Brain. We're going to be late."

I followed her, slipping my hand into hers as we walked.

"I'm still not over Leo and the whole blowing-himself-up-thing." Annabeth told me. Her grey eyes looked fierce, but I could see softness in them.

"Yeah, same. He disappears for a whole month without a word and then just shows up on a metal dragon." I replied. I chuckled slightly at the memory of him coming back. He had bought Calypso with him. Well, that was awkward.

Everyone had chased him around camp, until we were all out of breath. He probably still had bruises from the amount of punches he got from his cabin mates. Piper had cried. So had Hazel. It took them ten miniutes to calm down, only to begin chasing him as well.

"Alright, remember, when we go inside, no more demigod business. We're here to study so we can go New Rome for college. Got it?" Wise Girl instructed me.

"Aye, aye, captain." I joked. Rolling her eyes, Annabeth made her way inside the school building.

There was a woman behind a desk in what must have been a front office.

"Ah, you must be the new students, hm? Well, I'm Samantha, and I'm the receptionist here." The woman, Samantha, explained. "You two must be Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. We've appointed a student to give you a tour today. He should be here any minute."

"Thank you," Annabeth said, with me nodding in agreement.

A couple of miniutes passed, and a boy with brown hair walked in. "I'm so sorry I'm late."

Samantha nodded in understanding. "These are the students, Mr Parker."

He looked at us. "Oh! Hi. I'm Peter. Peter Parker. I'm giving your tour today."

"Cool, when should we start?" I asked.

"Well, I'll give you your tour now, and then it'll be lunch. After that, I guess you can go to your lessons." He explained.

"Ok," Annabeth replied. Peter began walking through the doors, and Annabeth and I followed.

"So, this is the science lab," Peter showed us, pointing to a green door, "and this next to it is the gymnasium. We have PE twice a week. Most sport competitions are held after school. Down there are the toilets."

By the time we had toured the school, received timetables and had everything explained to us, there was only fifteen miniutes or so till the beginning of lunch.

"Oh! Sorry guys! I hadn't even realised I didn't ask your names." Peter apologised.

"It's fine. I'm Annabeth Chase, and this here is my Seaweed Brain of a boyfriend, Percy."
Wise Girl told him.

"Well, nice to meet you guys." He said, "might as well wait in the cafeteria till lunch."

We all agreed on that, and my stomach yearned for blue cookies. Yummy, freshly baked, blue cookies.

"So, where are you guys from?" He asked us.

"I'm from Manhatten, and Wise Girl here is from California." I explained.

"Yeah, and I lived here with my mum's uncle for a while." Annabeth continued, referring to Chiron.

"Cool. Do you have siblings?" Peter asked.

"Oh, yeah. I have a half brother from my dad's side and a half sister from my mum's side." I told him.

"I have a few siblings who lived with me when I stayed here. Then there's Bobby and Mathew, my half brothers, from my dad's side. They're so annoying." Annabeth said.

"I'm an only child, so I wouldn't know how that feels," Peter chuckled.

Just then, the bell went, signalling the start of lunch. Finally. I was about to die of starvation.

We all watched as students filed in, and then, a boy about our age came towards us. "Hey, Penis! I can see your not hanging out with Leeds. What happened? Did he realise how worthless you are?" He taunted.

Peter looked away, ignoring him, but I clenched my fist and got ready to punch his nose flat. But before I could, a book sailed past the air and hit the bully in the face. "Ow..." he muttered.

It was a hardcover book, with about five hundred pages. Ouch.

I turned to see who had thrown it, and there stood a scary looking girl, with dark skin and black hair. She walked over and sat down next to Peter as if nothing had happened. The bully was already scrambling away.

A boy with a star wars backpack followed her, grinning.

"Hey. I'm Ned! Peter's friend." The boy greeted cheerfully, when he saw us. We shook hands and introduced ourselves.

The scary samurai ninja was reading a book, probably as big as the one she had thrown. The second Annabeth saw it, she began making non stop commentary about the entire thing.

The girl looked up, smirking. "I like this one. I'm MJ, by the way."

"Annabeth." Wise Girl told her. "And this is Percy."

"Hi." I said, slightly scared of her. I'd gotten used to being around strong, scary girls. First Annabeth, then Thalia and then Reyna. I'd hate to think what would happen if they all joined forces...
