Leo's POV
"Good morning Rylie." I told her as she walked into her office.

I swiftly handed her an iced almond milk latte with caramel Swirl that she told me was her usual.

"Thanks babe, I was such in a rush to get here this morning to meet with those partners." She said shortly after taking a sip of her drink.

I tried not to show my shock to her new pet name for me. She always called me Leo, maybe she wants more.

"Well they actually already arrived. I showed them to the meeting room." I told her.

Rylie scheduled a meeting with these developers in Southern California who were in the midst of building a series of beach houses. Rylie's company has bought a few of the houses and is meeting to check on the status of them.

Once we entered the room Rylie and the developers started while I took notes.

Once back into her office Rylie told my to schedule her a flight since the developers insisted she stay for a week at one of the houses to see how 'magnificent' as the guy told us it was.

"Leo while your at it, get a plane ticket for yourself too." Rylie told me. "I need you to come since your my assistant and all."

I couldn't help but think Rylie was just using that as an excuse to have me all alone on a beach house, but I wasn't complaining.

"Ok sounds good, I could work on my tan." I told her jokingly.

She laughed along with me before leaning over the back of my chair and wrapping her arms around my neck. Rylie snuggled her face closer to my neck and began to place light kisses up my cheek and jawbone.

"Hey Rylie wha-" someone's voice said as they barged into the office.

Startled Rylie immediately moved away from me stood awkwardly next to me.

The woman was older and she had dark brown skin with minimal wrinkles to her face. Her gray curls were pulled into a low bun with a silky wrap stied to the bottom on the side.

"Am I interrupting something?" She asked with a sly grin on her face.

"No mama... this is Leo. The one I told you about." Rylie nervously told who I assume is her mother.

I stretch my hand out to her and introduced myself. "Pleasure to meet you ma'am. You've raised an amazing woman." I told her with all sincerity.

She shook my hand and gave me a very warm motherly smile. So that's where Rylie gets her beautiful smile from.

"It's a pleasure for me as well. Rylie has told me all about you. I'm glad my daughter had finally found someone to make her happy again. I'm Lena by the way." Lena told me.

Rylie and I have kept our relationship pretty low key, I've told my father and little sister about her of course but I'm glad she had told her mother about me. And she likes me!

"Thank you that means a lot to me Lena." I told her while I blushed.

Lena nodded and turned her attention to Rylie before they agreed to go down the block to eat lunch.

While Rylie was on her way out she leaned across my desk and placed a kiss to my cheek. "I'll be back soon, make sure to book those flights Leo." She told me.

I nodded and before her and Lena left I heard her mother whisper, he's cute and respectful, I like him.

I'm glad she likes me, because I'm not ready to let Rylie go. I don't think I'll ever be.
