"Where the hell have you been?"

They are still running out breath. Did they run a marathon?

"Look, sorry for what happened earlier." Si Carol ang nagsalita.

Kinabahan ako. Earlier? Alam nila ang nangyari sa akin?

"Let's talk about this on the headquarters." Sambit ni Dean na ngayon ay patungo na sa headquarters.

"Uhm, Tita Viv is just like that because she doesn't know you." Dagdag niya.

Oh. So that is what she meant by what happened earlier.

I just sighed. Alam ko namang mali ako.

"Now talk, Scott. Where have you been?" Matigas at may diin ang bawat salita niya.

Kadarating lang namin ngayon sa hq at ito na agad ang bungad niya.

"Uhm, strolling?" Patanong ko din sagot sa kanila.

Arianne looked at me like I am some sort of alien.

"What?" Tanong ko sa kanila. Napansin ko kasing nakatulala sila sa akin, aside from Dean, of course.

"Are you making fun of us?" Si Arianne, her brows arched as she said those.

"What? No!" I said defensively. "Why would I do that?"

"You were just strolling?" Namamanghang tanong ni Ian.

Why? Is it that bad to stroll around? Hindi ako makatingin ng diretso sa kanila dahil natatakot akong malaman nila ang ginawa ko kanina.

"And here we thought you were lost or something!" Si Niall.

Carol chuckled. "Wow Mia! You really are something." Umiling iling pa siya.

I also remember Carol saying that, maybe last week?

"We thought you were crying somewhere because of what Tita Viv said. But look at you, you look more than okay!"

Dahil sa lalaki kanina ay nakalimutan ko na ang nangayari dito kanina. The creep from earlier is already too much that I already forgot about Le Counsel.

"What happened after I left?" Nagtatakang tanong ko sa kanila.

"Ah, right." Doon palang sila nagsimulang mag- usap tungkol sa pinag usapan nila kanina dahil hinanap daw nila ako kaagad pagkatapos niyon.

Magtatagal daw kami ng ilang araw dito, pero depende pa sa maaaring mangyari. They talk about rebels and the ruckus about them.

The thought of rebels made me realized something. The black cloak, the dangerous aura and the cold voice. I encountered a rebel, that was for sure. The sudden thought made me tremble in fear.

Sitting on the corner, his gray eyes went to mine as if he was waiting for me to lay my eyes on him. He stared at me like he knows everything about me. Wait, alam ba niya?

The uneasiness doubled because of the thought that Dean knows what I am hiding.

"Ah, I'm hungry!" Sambit ni Carol.

"Shit! We forgot lunch!"

Pagkatapos kumain ay pinatawag ulit kami ng Le Counsel. Hindi katulad kanina, sabay sabay na kaming pumunta roon ngayon.

"Sorry, we forgot to introduce her earlier. This is Mia Scott. She's in the advanced class."

Parang wala namang narinig ang mga naroon kaya nagpatuloy nalang kami sa pag upo. The air inside is a lot better than a while ago.

Walang mababakas na kaba sa mga mukha nila di katulad kanina. They looked more relaxed, that Arianne's mom is not frowning.

"Pwede na kayong bumalik sa academy bukas din." Said the man with the glasses. He doesn't look like someone from the group, so I guess he's not one of the group's father.

"Why so fast?" Asked Arianne.

"Why dear? I thought you hated here? Why a sudden change of heart?"

Arianne didn't say anything. So, they must be really on bad terms.

The Headmaster cleared his throat. "We also didn't expected this. We just received a letter saying that the rebels already left the town."

May pinag- usapan pa sila pero hindi ko na iyon naintindihan. My mind flew about the rebels. Bakit umalis na sila? Bakit parang ang bilis? Ano ang pina plano nila?

Wala man akong alam masayado tungkol sa kanila, pero hindi ko mapigilan ang mabahala. Knowing them, they wouldn't back off just like that. So what are they really planning?

I really need to read books about them so I wouldn't be a burden to the group next time.

Naglalakad na kami ngayon papuntang kwarto namin. Nasa likod lang ako habang nakasunod sa kanila.

Dean cleared his throat. Napaangat ako ng tingin sa kanya. Nasa harap ko na pala siya. Standing like this made me realized how small I am, or was he just really tall?

Nakapasok na sa loob ang lahat. Hinihintay ko na lang siya na pumasok din para makadaan ako. Nakaharang siya sa dinadaanan ko.

Nakakagulat na nandito siya ngayon sa harap ko. He is so far from the Dean I first met. There is something in his grey eyes which is unknown. Iniwas ko ang tingin ko doon. I might mistook it for something else.

Mabilis ding nawala iyon. But as he pushed the door, he said something that left me dumbfounded.

"I'm sorry."
