~aus' room~

Aus practically collapsed immediately when she saw her bed, leaving her keys on the nightstand next to it and stuffing her face into the pillow, just laying still for a little bit.

She then turned around, still resting her head against her pillow as she pat the spot next to her, looking at Scot. Thankfully, she had already thrown her bag off before jumping onto her bed, so she wasn't laying on all of her things.

"Could you lock the door too?" She mumbled, moving one of her hands up to rub her eyes. Old habit of hers; she hated when her sisters barged in to intrude on what she was doing— like what happened with Canada and Scot's hoodie.

Sigh.

Scot did as she asked, cautiously entering and locking the door behind him. He didn't get the chance to be in girls' rooms very often, so this was a new experience. It seemed sort of like his room, though-- she had a bed and a bookshelf and everything.

He went to her bed and sat on the edge, still looking around her room. Her closet door was wide open. It looked like there was a lot of lacy stuff in there, but Scot couldn't quite tell what it was.

"So... bio?" He set his backpack on the floor and took out the worksheet, looking at her. She looked so tired, and the size of the bed made her seem smaller than she actually was. "...Unless you want to sleep, that's fine too. I don't mind."

Aus snapped herself awake again, catching herself from falling asleep as she sat up, rubbing her forehead a bit. "No, no it's okay. Bio is easy. I can help."

That was one of the bad things about Aus; she was so selfless that she often laboured far more than the outcome was worth. She believed so much that she should help people that she didn't quite consider herself.

But this was Scot— her best friend; of course she'd make time for him.

"Okay. Okay, um.." she shifted and sat next to Scot, leaning her head on his shoulder as she took the worksheet from him, reading the questions. "Mmmm... okay, it's just plants. Lemme get my textbook."

She stood up from the bed, pulling out one of the heavy books from her bookshelf and shutting her dresser door. God, she hated that thing, it always opened by itself— Canada had said one of the hinges had broke somewhat, but she didn't do anything about it.

Which sucked. She was supposed to be the cool lumberjack sister that knew how to fix things. Which, she was, but like Aus, she probably forgot about it too.

She sat back next to Scot, opening her textbook and pulling out her favourite pen (which she had thankfully retrieved) and started explaining the questions to Scot, giving him a little lesson about the plants and helping him with the questions.

Though, her voice was a little slurred; it was obvious she was tired.

Once she had walked him through about half of the worksheet, Scot took the book from her and shut it with the worksheet inside, scooting back on her bed and laying down.

"C'mon." He patted one of her pillows with the back of his hand. "Time to take a break. Naptime."

He was fairly dumb, but he wasn't always oblivious. He knew she was tired.

Aus stared at Scot for a little bit, like he had just spoken fluent french, before shrugging a little and laying on him, resting her head against his chest and placing her ear where his heart was, closing her eyes as she nuzzled into him.

Look, she probably misunderstood him or something, but she was tired. She saw his chest and remembered the warmth that radiated from it and decided it was a far better competitor than just her boring old pillow.

Scot didn't mind the extra weight on his chest, he just closed his eyes and relaxed, bringing a hand up to absentmindedly run his fingers through her soft hair, preparing to stay still for however long she was going to sleep. He didn't care if they were wasting time. He'd rather be here than at home with his brothers anyways.

ahaha :) guess what's gonna happen next
