The Big Game/ I can cheer?

After a long week of nonsense and blah blah's it was finally Friday. I've been sitting with Lindsay and the other cheerleaders at lunch for the past week which meant I was becoming one of the crew but there was no way I would try out for cheerleading! Today was the day that our school's basketball team had a match and I had to be there since I already told Jackson and plus after the game it was a one one me against him and I've been practicing with Ricky for the past couple of days his arm was better so he didn't need a cast anymore. Ricky was really great with taking the ball from me but I had speed to my advantage since I was also in Track throughout middle school. He also told me all of Jackson's flaws so I had a feeling that I would show him whose boss.

"Noooooooooo" Some girl cried snapping me out of my thoughts I turned around to see a tall brunette screaming and Lindsay looking down and screaming as well. I ran over to her.

"Lindsay what is going on" I asked scared.

"Jessi- one of the cheerleaders broke an ankle which means we are short one member and can't cheer at tonights game" Lindsay said pouting.

"Oh that sucks" I said frustrated at the fact that they were making such a big deal out of it. And then all of a sudden Lindsay's eyes sparked up as she eyed me I looked down at myself a bit self-concious then it hit me.

"No, absolutely not" I responded before she could even suggest the horrid idea.

"Delta please it is only for one night" She pleaded.

"Uh uh, not happening" I said crossing my arms over my chest and shaking my head.

"Come on you have no idea how much I'll owe you" Lindsay pressed on.

"No way I don't even know the routine" I added.

"Please it's really easy we can teach you now in fact" The brunette that was screaming earlier added.

"Uh- I started but was shortly cut off

"IT'S JUST LIKE DANCING Don't you like dancing I remember you mentioned it once" Lindsay barked.

"Why do I get the feeling that you will not take no for an answer" I sighed.

The brunette laughed and stuck her hand out for me to shake.

"I'm Merlinda by the way,co-captin with Linds" She said as I shook her hand. Her name sounded familiar then I remembered that day at the mall and how Jackson practically called her a skank.

"I'm Delta" I responded after shaking her hand.

"Good, great oh my god you would look great in our uniform" Lindsay squealed.

I groaned at the thought of wearing a cheerleader uniform.

"What size are you" Mirlinda asked.

"7" I responded.

"You are so not, I've seen you underneath those baggy clothes Delta we had a sleepover remember!" Lindsay screached.

"Yeah well I really don't feel comfortable in fitting clothe" I admitted.

"Why" Merlinda asked curiously.

"Because, I just don't" I said crossing my hands over my chest agian.

"Well I sure for one would love to see you in fitting cloth" A voice said behind me. I turned around to see Jackson smirking and eyeing me.

"URGH you're a disgusting" I said turning away from him.

"What did he say" Ricky said taking a seat next to me and looking at Jackson funny.

"Nothing, man chill I was just playing you know I wouldn't hit on your girl like that" Jackson said sitting across from me still smirking.
