FOOLISH

Dawn, seeing you was like being hit by a car;
Blinded by how beautiful you are,
Unconsciously staring at you,
Rude, I know, but what can I do?
You held the beauty no one can ever subdue.

Home and inside my room, all alone: I was
Looking out as the sun started to cast,
hues of different streaks,
Randomly thrown to the cold sky,
Sleep-deprived, you face came through.

Aesthetic as you are,
Drop-dead and stunning as the sun from afar.
The sky continued to lighten
Just like how you managed
To have my life brighten; it was all good
Guess good things never last.

Going home from a hard, long day,
Under the lamppost, I saw you beautiful as bay
I was struck, eyes crinkling as you laugh
Oh, how happy you looked,
Arms warped with someone.
I started to walk away and mumble how foolish I may.
