soooo i said i would think of a plot but i gave up so i'm winging it :)))))
but we're gonna pretend that they're the same age which is 17 :)
they're juniors along with mai, azula katara and ty lee are sophomores, and aang and toph are freshmen
it's modern but like everything still happened the same yk???
suki and sokka broke up cause long distance and also they just didn't vibe together in a relationship ship

even the teens that ended the war still have to go to high school

the school in the southern water tribe was still being built but the primary school was top priority considering there were only 2 teens in the water tribe so they moved to the fire nation to finish there school.
it was the first day of school and sokka was really dreading it. he didn't know what to wear or what he should do with his hair or makeup.
(yes he wears makeup cause why not)
he started with makeup, doing a natural look, with a face of makeup (idk makeup terms it's like foundation and stuff but it looks good y'know) with mascara and a simple lip tint, and went to his closet to get dressed and he drew a blank.
instead of looking through his closet, he facetimes zuko.
"zukooooo, what do people wear to school in the firenation?"
"why would i know i went to private school, they probably just wear red."
"you should ask like azula or her friends"
zuko sighs but agrees and adds ty lee to the call.
"hi zuko! hi sokka!"
they both say an unenthusiastic hi back and zuko asks what people wear at firenation high school
"OMG i forgot neither of you have been to high school! everyone there dresses SO cute."
"do they where regular trending stuff?" sokka asked
"yeah! it was mostly red but i heard that it's gonna be more diverse and colorful this year cause all the nations are at peace again."
"okay thanks"
"bye!" ty lee left the call
"that barely helped me" zuko said
"sameee"
"wait just a second" zuko hung up
'okayy?' sokka thought and he went on looking through his closet
10 minutes passed and he assumed zuko just forgot, he was disappointed but knew he probably got caught up getting ready then he heard a knock on his door.
he opened to see zuko at the door "zuko! you didn't forget,"
"of course i didn't i was just getting dressed"
"i still don't know what to wear or what to do with my hairrrrr"
"you can just do your regular bun but i have no idea for my hair, i think all the higher ups are expecting me to wear my firelord regalia but i am definitely not doing that."
"i still don't know what i want to do, should i wear blue or red, cause i don't wanna stand out"
"i think you should wear blue, and do something casual. like me i just wore black jeans and an oversized red crew neck"
"i guess i could wear rolled jeans, and white shirt, and a oversized jean jacket.(ik i'm bad at style just imagine something cute okay) UGHHH i don't even know" he ploped down on to his bed and yelled again
"sokka people are still sleeping, we're still up earlier than everyone" he said as he ran his fingers through sokkas hair
he smiled up at zuko "you're so pretty"
zuko smiled back down and started braided part of his hair. he put it with the rest and into the bun, "there, now you only have to worry about your hair"
"thank youuu" he stood up and headed to his closet and grabbed out the outfit they chose earlier. he started to take off his shirt and then it got awkward.
"i- umm" zuko started and then turned around
he quickly changed and told zuko he was changed
he got a text from katara asking if they were ready yet
zuko texted back and said "yeah we just finished"
"i just woke up but i checked on toph and she was doing her hair, i just need to get dressed" aang replied
"see you guys at breakfast" sokka texted
"oh shit i forgot about my hair"
"i can do yours since you did mine"
"okay"
zuko sat down at sokkas vanity and sokka started brushing his hair, he pulled it all together into a traditional firenation bun and added the gold cover and golden fire
"there, all done"
"uggghh i really don't wanna have my firelord crown thing, it does look good though"
"thanks" he said with a smile

they headed out to the dining room where people were setting up there breakfast, toph aang and katara joined them a few minutes later and azula and her friends were coming in
"i'm really worried about this new school" katara said
"me too" sokka replied
"we're not gonna know anyone"
"well you have azula and me in your grade!"
"yeah so fun." azula replied sarcastically "it shouldn't even be that bad you all have someone in your grade, and zuzu's the firelord he can get away with anything in school"
"azula we aren't supposed to use our royalty as a bad thing anymore"
"i know but that's just so boringgg"
they continued on with the sibling banter for a little longer and there were a few small discussions but they eventually had to head off to school.
sokka was so nervous, the only people in his grade were zuko and mai and he was pretty sure mai hated him but as they stepped up to the school gates it was nothing like he though it would be.

okay so i had school so i didn't update but i guess i'll do a part 2 cause i winged it and it ended up being them just getting ready but that's okay :)))
also i totally forgot how much of a terrible writer i am , like terrible but that's also okay :)))))
