Namjoon's POV
"She's gone." What?
"What do you mean?"
"I woke up this morning and she was gone. Just disappeared. And I don't know where she is. I talked to the police and they're looking for her but I don't know if they'll find her." I held her face in my hands and looked her straight in the eyes.
"They will find her. She will come home, she will be ok." Although I didn't completely believe it myself, it was all I could say to put Vivian at ease.
Vivian's POV
I awoke in someone's arms. Large, muscular, tattooed arms. I didn't remember falling asleep, or how long I had spent curled up on the couch in his arms.
"I was wandering when you were going to wake up."
"How long have you been awake?"
"Not long." We were interrupted by a knock on the door. I ran to open it as fast as I could. When I opened it, however, no one was there. I looked down at the porch and saw a note.
Vi's safe with me.
-Jackson
"What is it?" Namjoon asked behind me.
"I know who has Violet." I turned to go back into the house but bumped into Namjoon. "Oh, sorry. I-I just need my phone."
"Oh, sorry." He let me by and closed the door behind me.
I quickly called the police, and a few moments later the officer from earlier was at my door. I handed him the note.
"Is this Jackson as in your ex-husband Jackson?"
"Yes, I know it is." Hot tears were flowing down my face. "Please, officer. You have to find my baby."
"I know, ma'am. We're working as hard as we can to find her." I felt arms embrace me from the side. It was no question now. I knew it was Namjoon.
"Thank you, officer," his deep voice boomed in my ear. When the officer left, we sat on the couch, just as we had done all day. We spent most of the night talking, until one of his friends frantically called him and he had to leave. "I'll come see you tomorrow. Is that ok?"
"Yeah, I'd actually appreciate it."
"Ok. I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Oh, Namjoon," I called as he was about to walk out the door.
"Yeah?"
"Thank you. For today."
"Any time." Then he left.

When I finally woke up, it was almost three. I didn't feel like eating, or much of anything really, so I made my way to the couch. I couldn't find anything worth watching on TV, so I just put it on a random channel and lay down, staring at the ceiling. I stayed there for a few minutes before someone knocked on my door. I forced myself to get up and answer it.
"Oh, honey, no." Not the greeting I was expecting from silver-haired man, but it wasn't a huge surprise. I looked like something the cat dragged it.
"Good afternoon to you, too." I let him in and flopped on the couch. We sat in silence for a few minutes, watching whatever nonsense was on the TV, before he spoke up.
"Ok, I have to say it. You need to clean up."
"What's the point? It's not like I'm taking Violet to the park or anything."
"No, but what if she was found today? Is this what you'd want her to come home to?" I took a second to think about it.
"I hate that you're right." I got up and stomped to my room, grabbing a few things and getting in the shower. When I got out, I tucked a loose, white T-shirt into a pair of black ripped jeans. I walked back the living room and plopped into the couch. "Better?"
"Much. Now grab your shoes," he said, getting up.
"Why am I getting my shoes?"
"Because we're going somewhere."
"Where?"
"You'll see." I sighed, knowing I wasn't getting out of this, and put my shoes on, grabbing my purse, and headed out the door.
