We were watching a movie, the only thing we really planned on doing today, when Taehyung and Jungkook leaned over the back of the couch.
"Lady boner," Jungkook whispered in my ear, rather loudly. Not a second later, I heard Taehyung loudly whisper in Namjoon's ear.
"Normal boner." He started scolding them in that other language I still didn't know and they ran off, laughing.
"Sorry about that, they get really annoying sometimes."
"It's ok, they're like fairly large children. By the way, there's something I've been meaning to ask. What language is that?"
"It's Korean. We're from South Korea. We moved here after Jungkook graduated."
"Really? That's cool."
"Yea, their English is still a work in progress but we make it work."
"How did you learn English?" He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Um, watching Friends."
"You're kidding."
"Nope, literally taught myself English by watching Friends."
"There's no way."
"There is. And I did it." I was about to say something when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out to see a text from my mom.
Mom
Charlotte has to go into work. Can I drop Violet off with you on my way home?
Sure
I texted her the address and put my phone in my pocket.
"My mom is going to bring Violet here on her way home."
"Oh, so I finally get to meet you mother?" I giggled. What is wrong with me? Giggling?
"Yep, I guess you do."
About an hour later, the doorbell rang. We both got up to answer it.
"Mommie! Joonie!" The child ran up to me and I picked her up.
"Hi, Bug. Were you good for Grandma?"
"Mhm. We watched movies with Charlotte and ate ice cream and went to the park."
"Well, who is this?" My mom interrupted, giving me a look.
"I'm Namjoon. I'm a friend of Vivian's."
"I'm Vivian's mom, Olivia. But you can call me Liv."
"It's nice to meet you, Liv."
"Mommie, can I go play with Tannie and Holly?"
"Sure. Go find Tae Tae." I set her down and she took off running to find Taehyung.
"Tae Tae?" my mom questioned.
"He's one of my roommates," Namjoon answered.
"One of your roommates? How many do you have?"
"I have six. And two dogs." We were interrupted when Hoseok came through the door. With a dog in his hands. Namjoon took a deep breath. "Three dogs."
"How many more dogs are going to end up in this household without anyone else knowing?" I asked.
"No more," Hoseok answered. "I think. Anyway, this is Mickey." I pet the dog's head while it tried to lick my hand. "Jin's not going to be happy about this."
"He most definitely is not. Who's this?" He had just noticed my mom standing beside me.
"I'm Olivia. Call me Liv."
"Nice to meet you, Liv. I'm Hoseok." I heard someone yelling behind me. Of course, it was Jin. Hoseok started speed walking toward the back door, Jin following him.
"That was Jin," Namjoon explained.
"He seems.. nice."
"Oh, he really is. He's just like a parent. He's the oldest out of the seven of us so he basically takes care of us."
"How sweet. Well, I wish I could stay and chat longer, but I should really be going." We said our goodbyes and she left.
