I knock on Ace's door.
After a few seconds it opens, he peeks his head out and smiles when he sees me. "I didn't know you were coming," he says.
I shrug. "Yeah, me either."
"You should've told me, I was getting ready for bed," he explains. He opens the door and lets me in, his white shirt is almost unbuttoned, he makes no move to fix it. I throw my purse onto the couch along with my jacket. I look up to him, not hesitating, I lean up and crash my lips to his.
He instantly responds, lips moving in sync with mine. He pulls me closer by the waist, my hands trail up his bare chest as I pull his shirt off completely. Our feet stumble over each other as he pushes me along until we reach his room and he kicks the door open with his foot.
His arms lace around my waist effortlessly as he pushes everything off his desk and pushes me onto it. My hands run through his hair and knead into him. He steps closer, between my legs, holding the back of my neck as he deepens the kiss.
His hand goes up my hair, he grabs a handful before tugging at it, his lips find my jaw, my neck, until he finds that sensitive spot that has me a whimpering mess. He continues on that spot before kissing his way back up to my lips. I feel his kiss everywhere, my lips, my hands, my stomach. The feeling spreads throughout my body.
"Wait," he breathlessly groans against my lips, pulling away only to crush his lips against mine more hastily, as if it's the last time he'll ever kiss me.
He pulls away completely this time, leaving me panting and with my eyes closed. "What's wrong?" His voice is hoarse from the kiss, he runs a hand through his hair, I did a wonderful job of messing his hair up.
"Nothing," I whimper, reaching out and placing my lips on his again, he relents for a second before shaking his head and pulling away.
"You're hurting," he points out, hand trailing down my jaw. "You're upset, I can tell by the way you were kissing me."
"I'm not," I shake my head. "I-"
"Athena," his chest rises and falls heavily. "This isn't gonna fix anything, what's wrong?"
I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer. I place my lips on his softly. "See?" I murmur against his skin. "I'm okay."
"No," he kisses me harsher. "You're not."
"Ace," I whisper, holding the sides of his face and nodding. "I'm alright-"
His hand comes to my face, his thumb brushing against my cheek. "Tears," he points out, my eyes well up before I blink and they're gone. "You're crying."
"You're just a really good kisser," I laugh sadly, stuffiness overwhelms me.
"I know," he grins, I shake my head and hit his bare shoulder lightly. "But I know you, you don't cry unless it's bad, so tell me what happened."
"It's not a big deal."
"It is if you're crying."
"They're just tears of happiness."
"Tears of happiness?" He chuckles, he kisses my nose. "Liar."
I laugh sadly and look down, resting my forehead on his chest. He sighs, his hand falling to my waist. He pulls my thigh to the edge of the desk, his hand swoops under as he lifts me with ease. I shriek and cling onto him, wrapping my legs tightly around his waist. "Put me down, Ace," I laugh.
"I'll drop you if you don't tell me what's wrong," he says, he's still without a shirt on. I trace his tattoos with my eyes before looking back up at him and sighing.
