"I loath parties, why am I here?" Ronan groans from the passenger seat. "I'm having an extensional crisis, and here we are, partying."
"I love how optimistic you are, Ronan. I can always count on you to make my day better. My ray of sunshine on a cloudy gray night."
✧
"Hey, hey," Athena lifts her dress and sits in the backseat. She smiles at me and kisses my cheek and pats Ronan's head. "My favorite brothers."
"Mhm," I hum, putting the car in drive and speeding off. I drive until we finally reach the house and Ronan mumbles incoherent sounds from beside me, he's never liked parties. The house is packed, with kids spilling out onto the yard, red cups everywhere, and I can feel the brass of the music from inside.
Athena's hand wraps around mine tightly. I smile contently to myself and look down at her. She's looking eagerly to the house, basically running with me to the front door.
"Party isn't going anywhere," I murmur to her, she giggles and snakes her way through the crowd, squeezing my hand whenever she gets pushed around.
When we find Oscar, he surprises Athena and I. He smiles at her and walks over, hugging her tightly. Her eyes widen before she smiles and hugs him back. He pulls away and looks at me. I shake my head. "I'm okay- no need for a hug-" He ignores me and gathers me in an even tighter hug.
"What did you drink?" Athena asks, tilting her head in this adorable way.
"Water," he flutters his eyes. I smirk and shake my head. He sits on a couch, Athena sits on the side of the couch and connects to everyone, they laugh at her little jokes and smile.
"I'm gonna use the bathroom," Athena says, getting up.
"Be careful," I say, furrowing my brows but I shake my head. "No, I should go with you."
"I can manage to go to the bathroom," she says again with a small smile. "Anyone who tries to come at me will get a fist to the nose."

"Ace," Dimi pokes my shoulder. "Oscar is on a whole other planet." I peek over to see Oscar talking to his hand.
"Oscar?" I wave my hand in front of his face. "Man, you with us?"
"No," he slurs. "Oscar is shut for business."
"Right, well," I scratch my head, leaning over to take the cup from his hand. "How many drinks have you had?"
He turns to me with narrowed eyes before his eyes take on a worried state. "Can you die from too much alcohol intake?"
"Hopefully," Ronan mutters, walking between people until he throws himself between us.
"Ew, it's you," Oscar scrunches his nose like a little kid.
"I don't have enough alcohol in my system for this," Ronan snatches the bottle from his hand and chugs it down. He offers it to me but I shake my head. His eyes widened. "My brother? Refusing a drink?" I let up a little laugh.
"He's trying to keep up his image for his little lady," Oscar smiles and holds the sides of his face.
"Mm? A lady?" Dimi peeks his head up and looks around. "Can I ask who she is?"
"She-" I look around and furrow my brows when I don't see Athena. It's been twenty minutes. Nineteen minutes too long.
"Is she not real?" Dimi slurs, Oscar and Ronan laugh. "Oh- no wait! Is her name Casper?"
