as cheesy as it sounds, you really could just lay in bed all day smiling to yourself, how'd you get so lucky to end up with a man like yeo hwanwoong? he was everything you could ever ask for! talented, hard working, funny, respectful, passionate, handsome... you were always looking for ways to appreciate him more, but with him being an idol and being away most of the time and your occupation, it was difficult to spend lots of time together.

you made the smart yet stupid idea to tell your occupation that you were horribly sick, could barely even reach for your phone to type out an email sick, and thankfully they were understanding. it was only 13:47, therefore you had lots of time to come up with a plan on how to surprise hwanwoong. but, it didn't take long for you to come up with something simple.

you head out to the living room, grabbing all the blankets and pillows you could find before you began building.

it was taking much longer than you thought it would, as 4 hours have already passed, and there was a chance hwanwoong would come home early, as he likes to do that.

-

you were lucky as another hour went by and hwanwoong still hadn't arrived home. you had just finished and had sat back to admire your work. making an enormous blanket fort all by yourself was much more difficult than you thought it would be. who knew blankets could be so heavy.

you were snapped out of your thoughts and your head perked up to hear the front door opening. you rushed from your spot to help keep him contained at the front door. standing right in front of him, he chuckled and raised his eyebrow.

"why, hello there my beautiful s/o" he smiled, setting his things down and taking off his shoes.

"hello"

"...what did you do?"

"nothing. close your eyes" you said too quickly, sneaking behind him and putting your hands over his eyes.

"i- whoa okay..." you could feel his grin as you began to guide him to the living room.

"keep them shut, okay?" he nodded as you slowly let go, running to grab your laptop from the kitchen counter and setting it down inside the fort.

"okay, ready? open!" you poked him and watched as he opened his eyes, his face instantly lighting up and you could see the excitement build in his eyes. his smile grew wide as he began to bounce.

"did you make this? do we get to sleep in it? can i go inside? or should i shower first? yeah i should shower first-" he dashed into the bathroom and you could already hear the water running. you giggled at his reaction, knowing he liked it.

he took much quicker than he usually did, a 20 minute shower turned into 4 minutes as he was out with another minute, taking him a total of 5 minutes in the bathroom. he rushed out with a tshirt and sweats, his hair still damp and messy, he looked like a puppy.

"come in!!" you climbed in and he follow suit, looking around.

"wow... did you do this all by yourself? how long did this take you?"

"much longer than i'd like to admit... i did my think it would be this hard" you chuckled.

"well, i love it!! what are we gonna do??"

"i was thinking of watching a movie and eating some ramen-"

"great!! let's do it!! i'll go make the ramen!!" he yelled excitedly, zooming out of the fort and into the kitchen but before he left, you caught him by his wrist.

"you're so cute, did you know that?" you smiled. he blushed and then squeaked in surprise when you kissed him. when you pulled back, his face was all flushed out, making him look even more adorable.

"go get the ramen! i'll pick a movie" you ruffled his hair. he now moved at a slower pace from being so flustered, but that didn't last long as his excitement took over again.

after a couple minutes, he carefully came back with two cups of instant ramen right as you were getting the movie loaded.

"thank you, hwanwoong" you took it carefully to not spill anything.

"soo what are we watching?"

"you'll find out soon" you cheekily winked at him to which he smiled back shyly. you hit and and hwanwoong's eyes lit up even more realizing you put on his favorite movie.

-

around two hours had passed, you got up to throw out the ramen cups awhile ago and you were both dozing off by the end of the movie. hwanwoong's head was resting on your shoulder as you could see him struggling to stay awake. with perfect timing, the protagonist had said their last words and then the movie ended.

you shut the computer, looking over at hwanwoong who was yawning.

"sleepy?" you asked. he hummed and nodded, settling to lay down on your chest.

"y/n..."

"hm?"

"why'd you do this for me?" his voice was muffled by your shirt, but nevertheless you smiled while thinking out an answer.

"because i wanted to show you something that would maybe let you know how much i appreciate you. sometimes i wonder how i got so lucky to have someone like you... date me? you're all this and hundreds of thousands of people love you, but you're laying here in my arms. you're everything i wanted in a partner and more, i'm just so lucky to have you. i really love you, hwanwoong. i really do" you spilled, running your fingers through his hair.

"is it your goal to make me cry, y/n?" you could hear a sniffle from him.

"no... no baby, making you cry is the last thing i'd want to do"

"then why'd you do it?" he looked up at you. you watched to see his tears threatening to fall from his eyes.

"hwanwoong baby please don't cry, even if they're happy tears, i don't like to see you cry" you pressed a long kiss to his forehead.

"i love you y/n"

"i love you more, woongie. now, let's sleep, shall we? i bet you've had a long day" you let his hair as he laid his head back down onto your chest, snuggling into you.

"good night, y/n"

"good night, hwanwoong"
