"aaand cut! that's a wrap!" the director shouted. you and youngjo slowly parted. although he was only your partner for the kdrama you both were acting in, it felt real. it all seemed genuine, his words. even though he was reciting a script he had memorized, it had actually felt like he loved you, that his kisses were filled with real love and passion. even though it was all acting, you couldn't help but fall for him, not just in the drama, but in real life.

"you're a really good actor, you know that?" you told him. he smiled and chuckled before taking a sip of his water.

"y/n, you tell me that like every day when we finish" he playfully rolled his eyes.

"well lucky for you that'll be the last time you'll ever hear it"

"...unless they decide to make another season"

"shh!! don't give them ideas! i couldn't imagine being stuck with you again"

"why would you imagine when i'm right here?" he gestured to himself. you rolled your eyes as he laughed, and you continued to pack your things.

"hey, wait up!" youngjo shouted as you were about to leave the studio without him. he caught up to you, holding the door. it was one of the same gestures he performed in the drama.

"where are you headed to?" he nudged.

"not sure. i'd say dorms but i don't think any of my members are home right now" you hummed.

"we should grab dinner together, then. come on!" he grabbed your hand and dragged you along the streets under the orange-pink evening sky.

"what should we eat?" he asked once you both had made it to town.

"give... me a moment to breathe... holy shit" you panted, obviously not used to running far distances.

"sorry... should we stop the the food truck and see what they have?" he suggested. you nodded, seeming as there was no other option.
he saw your eyes light up as you looked at the menu and knowing you, he knew exactly what you wanted.

"youngjo look-"

"i know, i know. i know what you want, y/n" he shushed you before you could begin to babble about your favorite food.

"well since you seem to know everything, i guess you'll be ordering and paying" you softly pushed him. you could see the corner of his mouth rise.

"as if i weren't already going to do that" he straightened up before ordering.

after the two of you got your food, you wondered off to a nice secluded, quiet, seated area. he looked up way too much to watch you munch of your food happily, as if you hadn't eaten in days. you sensed somebody looking at you and looked up at him to see him staring.

"stop looking at me like that" you whined.

"like what?"

"like... like you're in love with me or something. we aren't on set anymore, you can stop your acting" you watched his face fall and you couldn't tell if your words hurt him or you more.

"who ever said i was acting?" he grabbed your hand from across the table. even thought you've held his hand plenty of times on set, this time it felt different. even though it had already felt genuine, you weren't too sure if he was just good at acting or... felt something for you.

"w-what?"

"you can't exactly call me an actor if my feelings and actions are genuine" he turned away at his own words, feeling embarrassed.

"y-youngjo... what are you saying?" your heart pounded as you became anxious as to what he was implying.

"i'm saying that i'm in love with you. for real. not just for the drama, but with you, the real you. i tried to express my feelings to you through the drama but that was probably a stupid idea, wasn't it?" his sudden confession was mind blowing to you. did he actually share the same feelings you did?

"y-you're in love with me? like i am with you?"

"yes, like you are with me- wait what? you- you're- love me?" he realized your words. you nodded.

"all this time i thought you were acting, your kisses felt so... so loving. your touches were always soft and gentle, your voice was always as sweet as honey, it still is. how could i have not fallen in love with you? even if you were just playing a character?" you spilled your inner thoughts, as his jaw dropped before turning into a smirk.

"what if we recreated our last scene, but in real life? no acting, no nothing. just us and this park?" he asked. you chuckled at his idea before you agreed. he stood up, running around the table to grab your hand.

"action!" he called out quietly.

"have you made your choice, youngjo?" you asked, the now not so fake nervousness hinting within your voice.

"why, yes. yes, i think i have" he smiled, brushing hair behind your ear as his palm came to rest on your cheek.

"and who have you picked, sir youngjo?" you giggled out the line as your insides became twisted.

"i think you'll figure it out" his voice became lower as he captured your lips in a soft and gentle kiss. so warm and welcoming, like this was real and he was actually choosing you. but this time, there was no cut. there was no place or point to stop. so you just stood there, in each other's embrace, sharing long and small kisses, giggles and smiles also exchanged as you no longer had to worry about acting, knowing he was genuine, and we were too.
