after your suddenly realization, you instantly shut off the tv, not even bothering to finish the airplane stage you were watching. your eyes stayed wide and alert and your heart pounded, even though you were the only one in the apartment. keonhee would be coming home soon, and seeing him was the last thing you need.

as if the universe decided to time things horribly, you heard the front door open. you rushed away from the living room and into the bedroom, sitting on the bed and figuring out what to do as panic set in.

"baby!" keonhee called. you could hear his footsteps speed up, a sign he was getting worried. he opened the bedroom door, and you could hear him sigh upon seeing you.

"baby, i called for you! why didn't you answer?" he pouted, standing right in front of you.

"baby?" he asked, poking your cheek.

"y/nnnnnn" he whined, bouncing on his heels.

"y/n..." he said more serious when you didn't respond. he was slightly taken aback when you lightly pushed his hand away to climb into bed, and his heart only hurt more when he watched as you put a pillow in the middle of the bed, to separate you two. you pulled the covers over your head so you didn't have to look at him, as even the sight of him made your heart pound.

you could hear his soft footsteps on the wooden floor, drawers opening and closing, the shower running. he was usually quick, as he always wanted his nightly cuddles, but this time he took much longer than usual, you could tell you had made him sad or angry of some sort. you felt bad.

after a while, you could hear the light switch shut off and the other side of the bed dip, the covers shifting, and soon it was nothing but both of your breathing. being curious, you poked your head out from under the covers to peak at him. his back was turned towards you. it reminded you of when you'd trace little shapes and patterns on his back and he played a guessing game, or how it helped him sleep. you wished you could just spill everything to him now, but it's all so much to handle for one night, and you weren't even completely 100% sure if you were actually.

eventually, you turned back to your side, sleep taking over.

the next morning, you woke up so much earlier than you wanted to. it was 6:47am... too early for a saturday morning. you tried to go back to sleep, but no position would work. you wished you could be in keonhee's arms, as they always found a way to comfort you. you tossed and turned for about 30 minutes before finally deciding to get out of bed to do something. you didn't know what you were going to do, but it was something.

you lowered the volume before clicking on the tv, only to see the performance you were watching last night paused still, frame frozen on keonhee. that same feeling again. you clicked off the tv, getting up to find something else to do. you weren't hungry, you were just tired, and maybe a little bored.

sitting next to the windowsill, you watched the water droplets of the current showers that rained from the sky roll down the window, racing each other to the bottom. you were so focused and calmed by the water droplets you almost didn't hear keonhee.

"couldn't sleep?" his morning voice had a lower tone that usual and was raspy. you gulped, nodding. he walked and sat down in the chair across from you as you watched. the more you looked at him, the more sure you were.

it was silent for a few seconds as you both looked out the window before you spoke,

"i need to talk to you, keonhee" you voice was quiet and small, but you were certain he heard you as he looked at you. you were now focused on each other, waiting for the other to say something. his hair was all messy, his bare sleepy face looked cute, eyes big and round, cheeks all rosy, his lips a natural pout.
