Haru's Decision

Saeki Mahoro blinked several times when silence engulfed the room they were using to chat and discuss the case at hand.

"Katou-san too...?"

Kanbe Suzue swallowed hard. "If that's the case, maybe they already know that you are together now."

Katou Haru shook his head. "No. Daisuke who forgot about me, especially because of the pressure from what happened to Sayuri-san, will make Shigemaru-san think about the safety of Daisuke and his wife."

"Haru-"

"I don't care about that, Daisuke." The black mane found Haru looking at him seriously. "You already remember me and that's enough. But it's not for that right now."

Kambe Daisuke frowned. "We really need to know what's going on with father." Haru nodded confirming what Daisuke said.

"I hope he is fine until now."

They looked at Haru who was muttering softly. "But if he replaces your position so that you are not targeted by becoming a victim ... it means that your father knows the ins and outs of this weapon they mean."

Suzue frowned. "And it's possible that Shigemaru-san helped in the process of making weapons or covered up the true secret that hasn't been revealed yet." Haru nodded.

"We have to immediately check the area. When do we have time to do it, Suzue?"

"We have free time on Saturdays and Sundays. After the HEUSC preparations are complete, we can do it on the day in question." Daisuke nodded firmly.

Haru frowned. Haru hated the attention Daisuke gave him, which felt so special to him. If Haru didn't have any special feelings for him, he would have felt happy and embarrassed that Daisuke had clearly stated it. But because Haru loves Daisuke, he has to cover up his joy.

Haru smiled his teeth and Daisuke replied with a smile.

"Forgive us, Haru-san, Saeki-san, Daisuke-sama and I still have an event to attend." Suzue who got up got a protest expression from Daisuke.

"Why do we have to attend?" Daisuke doesn't seem to want to part with Haru.

Suzue just sighed softly. "You are still the prospective successor to the head of the family, Daisuke-sama."

Haru and Saeki, who were left behind, made Haru let out a long sigh on the table with his face resting on his arms. Saeki blinked before speaking.

"You're not telling the truth, Katou-san?"

"Huh?"

Haru looked up and was surprised to find Saeki looking at him softly. At the same time with sadness in it.

"It's nice to see Katou-san embarrassed when he's teased about Kambe-san, but," Haru frowned. "This time for real, right?"

Haru blinked before lowering his head. "If you know what it means please don't ever say anything to Daisuke."
