Katou Haru and Kambe Daisuke's work as partners in the police is going very smoothly. Even though Daisuke always used money to quickly solve the cases that were given to the two of them. Haru always protested and screamed like an angry cat at Daisuke, but that didn't mean he hated him. Only the way to finish it that he doesn't like. That also lasted for several days before the official event that Suzue said would take place in order to find out two parties and relatives who were willing to cooperate with a third party who had now all been caught.

"Don't they know the news that the party they were working with has been caught?"

"They maintain their pledge and business relationship, Haru."

The brown man turned to his partner who was driving back to the police headquarters after completing the day's assignment together. Daisuke continued without even glancing at him.

"For an elite like us, that is very important, and even though it seems we are also free to do anything because of that wealth and status." Haru nodded. "I'm even more surprised at your non-elite family being able to make friends with our family."

Haru snorted. "Don't ask me that. Just think of my parents as extraordinary."

Daisuke laughed softly. "Well, if they're not extraordinary, I can't be with you like this."

The brown man glanced again at Daisuke who was staring straight ahead at the highway. Haru sighed softly.

"Are you telling the truth or crap like your fellow elites huh?"

Daisuke smiled now, and Haru knew it was a different smile from the one he used to put on in front of his family.

"Unfortunately, that's from the bottom of my heart."

Haru muttered softly. "Hmm."

"Are you hungry by the way? I thought to- "

"No five-star restaurant, darling. I want to shop for dinner today when I have no more work to do."

Daisuke glanced at Haru who was stretching his arms. "Am I invited to the dinner?"

Haru smiled mischievously. "What are you offering as payment?"

Daisuke blinked. "Is one supermarket enough-"

"Immaterial please, darling."

Daisuke frowned. "If I help you in making dinner that night?"

Haru smiled broadly. "Received." Daisuke smiled at last. "Ah, no groceries are too expensive huh. Sure, I should be used to enjoying expensive and luxurious food, but if it's not the time I want it, I hope I can eat ordinary and delicious food."

Daisuke just smiled wider. "Alright."

The two who returned were greeted by their three colleagues who were working on their respective assignments. When the two of them were about to sit down, the figure of Takei and Chosuke appeared from another room.

"Haru, Kambe, I heard that you guys will be attending the official evening two days from now?"

The brown man blinked to see his boss asked while carrying an article in his hand.

"Yes. Suzue-san also came to represent her family..."

Haru saw Takei hand him an article. The brown man was surprised before reading the article it was carrying. His eyes widened.

"This..."

Daisuke peeked over Haru's shoulder before blinking a few times. There was plastered a tall building that was familiar to Haru and Daisuke's eyes.
