sensitive topic; mentions of suicide

"Have I not told you not to come here?" Loki snarls as he aggressively stomps his way towards her, but this time she doesn't shrink back in fear, only stares him in the eyes confidently. This time she wasn't so ready to give up on him, and she was going to make sure he knew. "Don't you have a wedding to plan for?"

"Unfortunately I seem to have the wrong groom." She hums, as she slowly walks around, making Loki stop and look at her in slight bewilderment. He wasn't expecting her to keep her calm, after the way he had treated her last time. It had been a month, in which she didn't come back and even though it saddened him, he believed it was for the best. "And anyway, Odin believes that it's best that we wait for Thor to finish his tour of the realms, before we start planning anything."

"And Thor is okay with it? He is accepting to give up his Midgardian love to spend eternity faking love for you?" Loki asks, making her turn around to face him and raise an eyebrow questioningly.

"No one is okay with this. Except for Odin and strangely you seem okay with it too." She says accusingly, making him scoff as he looks away, not wanting to make eye contact with her. He feared that she would use her ability to read minds, and control emotions to find out what he was trying to avoid. Freyja notices it, but decides to ignore it for now. "Thor goes to see Heimdall every night to hear news of the Midgardian. Don't you find that romantic?"

"Pathetic, actually." He snarls, making her roll her eyes as she lays down on the Chaise Lounge, leaning on her elbow, to keep herself up.

"Oh, don't be like that. Do you not remember the times we'd sneak into each other's chambers at night? Or the letters you would write me? I still have the letters." Freyja hums, making him scoff as he looks out of the cell, with his hands behind his back.

"Your feeling of nostalgia isn't going to bring back what you hope out of me. This is the new me. I've changed." He says in annoyance, making Freyja take in a deep breath, feeling just as annoyed as he was.

"We've all changed, Loki. I'm not sure if you realise, but I thought you were dead. That day I lost a part of me and it doesn't matter that you're back, because that part has been broken beyond repair. You're not the only one who suffered." Freyja says as she stands up again, making him turn around and she can see the anger in his eyes.

"Suffered? You have no idea what I went through! You think you know pain! You don't! I should have died that day! I would've been a lot happier." He snaps and Freyja has to fight to keep her calm demeanour. It broke her heart to see him in this state and all she wanted was to hug him, but she knew better. "Why don't you go whine about your pain to one of your maids?"

"You're trying to hurt me, push me away. But it won't work. It's true that we didn't suffer through the same pain, but let me tell you this. I cried for months for your death, for me there was no reason to live anymore, to continue fighting. Only your mother was able to stop me." She says calmly, and Loki's heart drops at thought of her no longer being here. Knowing that she had suffered because of him, made him angry at himself, he never wanted to hurt her. "When Thor heard you were alive and on Midgard. I had begged Odin day and night to let me go see you. He kept telling me of all the bad things you were doing, but I needed to see you."

"Perhaps it's best for you to listen to Odin. You're better off without me." Loki says softly, making her soften as she walks up to him. She rests her hand in his shoulder, causing him to look up at her.

"I'm not going to though. Because without you, there can't be a me."
