For the past week, Freyja would spend one hour a day with Loki, even if he complained and told her to leave every time. Yet, she never stopped coming and even if he would never admit it, he was incredibly grateful. Today was no ordinary day, he was to go meet with Odin and she already knew, that it would not end in a good way.

Frigga walked into her room, a look of worry in her features and Freyja already knew the outcome of the meet up. Frigga takes her hands in her and brings the goddess into the prison cell of the prince. He turns around as soon as he senses her presence and she can see from his clenched jaw he was in no good mood.

"I am in no mood for your pity." Loki says monotonously, making her roll her eyes at him. She takes her usual seat on the lounge and looks up at him. It seems to anger him even more that she is still here. "Do you not listen?"

"No. I don't. I certainly do not listen to your nonsense or Odin's." She says confidently and he can't help but look at her in amusement, but she doesn't notice it.

"You're extremely stubborn, Freyja." He grumbles, making her shrug innocently.

"You should be proud of yourself then. Learned it from you." She says joking and he chuckles, making her look up in shock. She hadn't expected him to loosen up, certainly not today of all days. "You're in a good mood. Did you not have an argument with your parents?"

"They're not my parents." He says sadly, making her give him a warm smile.

"Perhaps not biologically, but Frigga loves you as her own." Freyja points out, making him hum as he sits down next to her. She could sense his inner turmoil, and she wished she could look into his mind to see what bothered him so much, but the promise they made to each other, stopped her.

"Why have you not runaway from me? When you found out that I was not Asgardian." He wonders, as he stares at the empty space in front of them. She shakes her head as she stares at him.

"That is what you don't seem to understand. It does not matter where you are born, what you have done, because in the end, I will always love you." She says firmly, making him look at her in slight awe. Freyja couldn't help but smile as she finally saw the same look he used to give her everyday.

"Freyja. I wish you hated me. I wish I could hate you, it would be better for both of us." He admits, making her soften as she looks at the other prisoners. "But I can't. And that's why I have to let you go."

"What?" Her head snaps back to look at him, with widened eyes. Her heart beat starts to speed up in slight fear of what he is about to say.

"I can't be the one who loves you, anymore. All I'll do is hurt you." Loki says sadly, making her shake her head as tears burn her eyes.

"Even if you hurt me, it's a pain I'm willing to go through. You're worth it." Freyja says with determination, but he seems to already have made up his mind.

"Freyja. Don't."

"No, don't Freyja me. You used to call me Frey, you know. You used to call me my love, my darling. I won't let you call me Freyja. You can't let me go. Please, don't let me go." She cries out, making him look at her in pity, before he stands up and walks away from her.

"Your cries mean nothing to me. You should marry someone like Thor. You deserve someone better. Someone who isn't broken." Loki sighs, making her shake her head as she also stands up and walks up to him.

"But I don't want him. I want you, Loki." Freyja breaths out, but he seems to be ignoring her, causing her to scoff in annoyance. "You're a coward, Loki. Everytime someone tries to show love or care for you, you push them away. You keep saying love makes you weak. No, it doesn't. Look at Thor, he became a better man when he fell in love with Jane, he became stronger. Love made him stronger. And it can make you stronger, if you just let me love you. But you're a coward."

"Leave." Loki says, anger boiling through him, causing her to back away in slightly fear as he spins around. As he sees the fear in her, he nearly breaks down, but he can't, not in front of her. "Leave. You think you can just come here and call me a coward! You have no idea who you're talking to! I could crush you in your sleep or even right now. You dare call me a coward."

"Loki." She breaths out, but just like the first time she visited him, he blocks her out, making her reappear in her chambers with Frigga. Loki looks at the spot which she was at, with a saddened look and wanting to bring her back, but it was better for her to leave.
