"Is there nothing we can do?" Jane asks Thor, as she herself felt saddened by the death of the goddess.
"No. Unfortunately it's too late." Thor says as he looks down sadly, taking a hold of Jane's hand.
"I'm sorry." Loki says as he kisses her forehead, before he stands up and turns around to face Thor in anger.
"Loki." Thor breaths out, sensing his anger as the younger brother stomps his way.
"This is your fault! If you hadn't asked her to come, she wouldn't have died. She would still be alive!" Loki shouts as he pulls out his dagger and goes to stab Thor, who blocks his attack.
"Stop! Stop, look!" Thor exclaims, pointing in the direction of Freyja's body, making Loki turn around to see a glow surrounding her.
"What's happening to her?" Jane asks in worry, looking up to see a look of shock on the brothers' faces.
"Our mother once told us of a story. It was only a legend, or so we thought. The legend said a girl was born of the love of two gods. The god of peace and the goddess of fertility. The child was to love a man, so much that it would even blind her of his actions and if she were to die, only his love could bring her back." Thor explains, making Jane look from him and then to Freyja, who still had a glow around her.
"It's her love for Loki that is saving her." Jane concludes, making Thor shake his head.
"It's his love for her, that is saving her." Thor corrects as the glow stops, making Loki take a step forward, unsure what to expect. His breath gets caught at the back of his throat as he watches her stand up and look around. Any trace of blood or her wounds, have disappeared and she looks as if she had never died.
Her eyes connect with the ones of Loki and a smile forms on her. He is so shocked to see her alive, that he is unable to move. Freyja doesn't hesitate to run towards him, and throwing her arms around his neck. He doesn't hesitate to wrap his own arms around her waist and holding her close to him.
"I thought..." He breaths out, unable to finish the sentence, making Freyja slightly pull away to look at him. She puts a reassuring hand on his cheek, making him lean into her touch.
"It's okay. I'm okay." She says with a weak smile, making him smile back at her, before he slams his lips on hers. Her eyes widen in shock, before she melts into his arms, her eyes closing as their lips move in sync. Her heart explodes in joy to be able to love him once again.
"I love you, Freyja. I'm sorry I ever made you think otherwise." He says sadly, as he leans his forehead against hers.
"I love you, Loki. And I forgive you." She smiles softly, making him look at her in admiration.
"As happy as I am to see you well and alive Freyja. Unfortunately we still have the problem of Malekith." Thor speaks up, making them pull apart but Loki takes her hand in his, not wanting to let go.
"What do you want us to do?" Loki asks, making Thor take a deep breath.
"Go back to Asgard. This is something I must finish." Thor says, making the two nod in understanding.
"What of Odin? The moment we go back to Asgard, he will put Loki back in the dungeons and probably I as well." Freyja points out, making Thor frown.
"Then go into hiding, until I come back." Thor says, and the two nod, before Jane and Thor leave.
"Do you trust me?" Loki asks, causing her to look up at him with a questioningly look.
"You know very well I do." She points out, making him grin, before he leads her towards the ship they had left behind. He helps her in, before getting in as well. "Where are we going?"
