You Have Me

This takes place between the end of Trollhunters and Wizards, just to give you guys a heads up.

Jim's POV:

It's been just over three weeks since me, Claire and all the other trolls left to find that heart stone in New Jersey.

I caught up with mom just a few hours ago, talking over the phone how we've come across a couple threats but defeated them, each time we'd come across them. She and Strickler I'm hearing are doing well, and, I'm actually pretty happy for them (never thought I'd say that). He keeps her happy and puts a smile on her face, and while I'm gone that's really all I'm happy to hear.

Toby's sounding like he's making some exciting memories with Aja and Krel back in Arcadia and I'm excited to hear more stories from him every time I talk with him.

Steve I know is Doing well, and so is Eli, since I see them in a lot of Toby's FaceTime videos once we get the chance to. It's nice seeing everyone happy back at home and since I left, that's really the thing I was worried wouldn't happen.

And Claire, she's been doing great. Her parents call her all the time and she couldn't make me happier being out here with me through all this. I'm still shocked that her parents actually let her come with me all the way out here. Since us trolls don't sleep, I'd either have everyone take a few hours rest from our journey at night and find somewhere to go in the Forest, or I'd carry her on my shoulders while we walked.

At this point right now, we're all taking a rest stop and the sun has just set. Claire's taking a call from her parents just down the hill from the other trolls who were all talking amongst themselves in this stone cave inside a cliff. We've been in the forest for weeks walking and according to Claire we'll only have a few more days till we reach New Jersey.

I got up from the cave and walked to the edge of a cliff and sat there. Hanging my legs over the edge to dangle as I thought about nothing but the night sky. I really missed the sunlight sometimes. If I ever started to miss it, In my mind I would remember the feeling of when I escaped from the Darklands after Claire, Toby, AAARRRGGGHHH, Blinky and Draal saved me. The sun glowing onto my face, the sunlight beaming off my armour and me breathing in the fresh air as the sun was just about to set.

Claire's POV:

After finishing a call from my parents, I went back over to the cave to find Jim, but I couldn't see him anywhere. I kept walking around the cave and into the forest to find him a few minutes later sitting on a cliff over looking a landscape far below his feet.
I smiled and came up behind him, putting my hands on his shoulders kissing the top of his head. He looked up and gave me a smile, as I went down to sit beside him.

"Whatcha thinking about?"

He turned his head to look at me.

"Mom, Toby..."

He took his hand closest to me off the grass and intertwined his fingers with mine.

"...us".

"What about us" I asked him growing curious.

"Just, us. Back in Arcadia. Better times. I really miss that sometimes".

I got a little closer to him, and put my other hand over top of ours.

"I know. I miss it sometimes too. There's some pretty good memories back in Arcadia. The play, the whole 'Reckless Club' in detention the taking down those quote on quote 'human baddies'.."

"Escaping the Darklands, that whole double date-"

"-Hello? How is, that, a good memory Jim?" I said more sternly.

He started laughing a little, saying "don't worry Claire I was joking!".

We both started laughing a little until I started continuing the list.

"Surviving that huge portal we made, defeating Morgana, and the dance we did during Spring Fling, which I'll never forget".

He chuckled.

"I try my best", he said in a joking way as I stroked his cheek with my hand.

" I know you do". I told him before he gave me a sweet smile and put his hand over the hand I had on his cheek. "Those are all memories from Arcadia we'll always cherish. And more. But that doesn't mean we can't make new memories that can be just as memorable as some great ones. I mean, we've even defeated some threats along the way already! We can make some memories with all the other trolls, we can make history with Blinky by creating our own troll books generations will remember us by, we can see cities on this journey from hills like this or in the streets at night, and even make some special memories with just us. I'll be with you through this whole thing. You have me. Never forget that".

His hand that stayed on my cheek moved from there, to my face as he pushed a piece of hair behind my ear, cupping my face with his hand looking into my eyes.

"Claire Do you have any idea how much I love you?".

I let out a light chuckle, then smiled as I fell into his hand, Then holding his chest after he slowly pulled me closer. He leaned forwards and kissed me passionately.

I don't think I could love him more. Human or troll, he's still Jim, who is all I could want. The number one person on this earth that makes me happy, and who's side I'll never leave.

Every kiss we shared grew more affectionate, having neither of us wanted to let go. I put my free hand down to his, sliding my fingers through his connecting then as he started brushing his thumb across my knuckles slowly.

As we pulled away, we leaned our foreheads against one another's as everything else didn't move.

"I love you" I told him, staying still as he gripped my hand a little tighter.

"I love you too" he said giving me a quick kiss before I laid my head on his shoulder and he laid his on top of my head.

Still holding me hand before drifting off I nuzzled a little closer to him.

"Good night" was the last thing I told him before drifting off to sleep.

I hope the was ok for my first one shot. I keep thinking a moment like this, Claire comforting him on their trip getting homesick and missing the good old days must've probably happened between Trollhunters and Wizards. Anyways, more to come soon!
